Great mix for Quaker parrots
My Quakers love this stuff! They get it as an extra treat in addition to a pellet blend but they get so excited for this seed mix. Good variety, smells good, and no sunflower seeds which are too fatty in large amounts for Quaker parrots.

Mayan harvest
My GCC absolutely loves this seed blend! I opened it to inspect it for bugs or anything crazy before I gave it to my baby and was very surprised at the quality of the seed. It smelled fresh and exotic. Once I poured a small amount in a bowl for her to try as a treat she immediately flew over to the bowl and started digging in, she made sounds I have never heard before. She was that happy! She's never tried star anise before but she loves it. I will be ordering again for her as a treat, but that will be a while because there's so much. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount for the price and I was impressed by all the colors. It isn't a bland tan seed mix.

2 Cockateils, changed diet to this last summer.
I have 2 little cockateils i adopted in 2011. There getting older now and Ik previous owner would let them both eat straight millet seed and sunflower seed mix. Last summer a co worker who is very bird savvy since she worked at a bird rescue to me to try this mix and said sunflower and millet fatty seeds and not the best over time. And to try this seed mox instead. Im now waiting for 3rd bad to show which should be here this wk. So fast! The teils oick and choose whay they like but i know my female loves the variety, my male terrorizes the seed bowl for the little millet ones still though. They dont mess with the anise to much unless i crack it for them and throw it in bowl. I also mix this with pellets ive been told are best for ur birbs. :) im hapoy with this natural seed mix product, and no sugar in seed idk what ppl are talking about, besides the natural dried fruits obviously. Super healthy seed mix and glad i don't see cat food looking horse c*** in mix like most local stores carry. For my 2 teils, this mixed with pellets lasts awhile. Im jusy now finshing last bag from last summer, also store in fridge to keep freshness longer. And for a piece of mind i freeze entire bag overnight then pull out due to how much this seed bag has traveled. Little spendy but lasts awhile if stored right and u mix diet with pellets. They dont much of the bigger pieces

My cockatiels are loving this
I usually use the Higgins Sunburst blend for my cockatiels, which I consider really good, healthy, great variety. But recently it has been out of stock unless I want to buy a huge bulk supply. So I decided to try this one, since I trust Higgins, and it looked good. Immediately you can smell the star anise when you open the package, and there is just so much great stuff in this blend. I think I like it better for my little dinosaurs than the Sunburst blend. They have been chowing down. My boy seems to love the flaked peas in here. My little ones are very happy.

Great mix and price
My pineapple conure loves this food. I love that there is no sunflower which can promote beak overgrowth

Not for my cockatiel
Well there is a cockatiel on the package but not a good choice for my guy. I've never had a cockatiel that used his feet to hold food. That is something most parrots do, just not cockatiels. The food looks good, smells great and has a lot of variety besides just seeds. The problem is, they are all too big for a cockatiel! All the delicacy are being dropped on the floor because they are just too large to handle. The star anise is huge and even broken, hard to manage. I'll go back to our regular Higgins Safflower Gold Blend . If you have a conure or other small parrot, you shouldn't pass this by.

My parrot is very fussy and doesn’t eat much. I’ve tried everything and even adding human food with no result. Very little sunflower and pellets that he doesn’t eat.

Peat seems to like it, seems fresh, pretty good value for money.

A bit subjective but my picky conure absolutely loves this stuff, I've thrown away hundreds on food he won't eat but he loves this stuff
