I've had this waterbed mattress for about two months and so far it's pretty good. We've always had a "Free-flow" for over 45yrs. I decided to try something different, so I went with a semi-waveless. It was pretty easy to install, actually it seemed a little easier than other waterbed mattresses we've had. It has 2 filling chambers, one on each side of the mattress, I'm not sure why there's 2 instead of the usual 1. It has a fibrous mat inside for the stableness of the water to the water make move less and it does. Maybe it's the fibrous bladder in it, butt it feels firmer to me than the other waterbed mattresses we've had. It seems to be a good quality mattress. It is a little bit more expensive than the other mattresses I've had but I guess with it having the stabilizer in it made it more expensive then a "free-flow". It seems to be a good value for the quality and I got it in the time frame that they said it would come. It is a little heavier than one's We've had so it took 2 people to place it in my frame but it rolled out easy. It is definitely "semi-waveless as it stops moving within a few seconds of when you get into it and definitely is not as moving when you turn over like the 'free-flow". I would say it's just about like it's described.

Still sleeping on this one 9 years later. I'm still loving my waterbed. Thankfully I paid no attention to the so-called study paid for by mattress giants. The key is proper filling. If you over-fill or under-fill, yes - it can irritate you back. For me, at 6'6" tall with extra vertebrae, nothing makes my back feel better. I like the functionality of the 2 fill ports. Very convenient. ...and superior quality to mattresses I have had in the past.

When I replaced the water mattress I have been sleeping on since 2012 with this Matress I noticed they were the same brand. My old Matress survived several cat claw holes/patches and was very comfortable, and durable. This new Matress is improved! Two fill/burp holes made setup real easy. Great design and corner reinforcement. After bringing it up to temperature it is beautiful to sleep on. I have slept on Waterbeds since 1978 and this is the best I have ever owned! You won't be disappointed!

I'm not sure I would label this "semi-waveless" as it feels about the same as the last freeflow mattress I had, but it's a good product nonetheless. It came well-packaged and had easy setup and care instructions. The little fill apparatus was especially handy, although it popped out once (my fault, I had the hose running up through a window and it slowly fell putting too much pressure on the fill tube). The mattress material is thick and appears well-made. Do remember to "burp" it after a few days and add more water if necessary. I filled it with cold water from outside, so my situation was extreme, but after a week we were almost resting on the platform. Adding a bit more water solved the problem immediately though.

No smell. Really pliable and soft. Well made. The seams and water inlet are manufactured extremely well.
