Calypso Basics by Reston Lloyd Harmonic Hum Whistling Teakettle with Glass Lid, 2.2-Quart, Orange

I had a tea kettle just like this one previously for several years. But then I left it on a burner and ruined it. So, I ordered another one. It is an orange color that adds a bit of "bright" to my kitchen décor. Plus, it is easy to clean and is attractive and compact. You can adjust the whistle (when water is boiling) so that it is loud or a bit softer. I can't imagine a better tea kettle.

I am very pleased with this order. I did notice some pitting in the finish but not so bad as to exchange it. Sounds deep.

I love it, nice solid color and made well. But don't whistle . I have to figure out why it's set up like it should be. but still love it .

It doesn't whistle like a regular tea kettle. It sounds like a horn. It took me a while to get used to it but I love it. It cleans easy and is good quality

Look elsewhere! First of all, the window to return this is less than a month-- so let the buyer beware! It made the (sort of) harmonic sound for about 4 weeks, then gave up the ghost. Now it spills boiling water all over the stove but does not make a sound. Looks pretty, but truly-- it's junk. I've had teakettles that have lasted literally for years. This one didn't make it a month. Total waste of $40.

I almost wanna cry cz im so upset and disappointed...I loved this teapot so much, it looked just so perfect in my kitchen! But......Because of the problems with the whistle my boyfriend boiled it dry once and all the plastic parts melted.... I got mad at my boyfriend and ordered same kettle again! And just 5 mins ago i walk into my kitchen and realize that i had the kettle on the stove and it did not whistle at all and yep, boiled dry with all plastic parts melted....the ball handle on the cover melted right OFF, i found it on the floor.Suuuuuuuch disappointment!!!! =((((( 2 kettles gone in 9 months! Such a shame...it's a beautiful design, but absolutely not practical. I was kettle hunting for so long and was so happy to find this one, now im back to square one.It hurts to say but i cannot recommend this product =(P.S. I never threw the old one out cz i was so attached to it... (yes i realize that sounds ridiculous!) but hey, now you get to see both of the melted pots!

Love my orange teapot! I've been looking to buy one and I'm glad I settled on this one!

This an extremely dangerous purchase. The kettle doesn’t whistle anymore and the top of it literally melted.
