Absolutely gorgeous
I used some of the lace to make a corset (picture is one panel of the corset). The beads were easy to remove where I needed to for sewing, and it is so wonderful to work with! Would definitely buy again! Lots of lace for the price, too.

Not Impressed
Have no idea why it’s called “African Lace” considering lace is a European invention that’s been used for centuries. That being said this particular lace is of lower medium quality, nothing like the fine European lace I’ve used in the past but decent for casual and informal wear. I doubt its resiliency so only using for a small item.

Beautiful Lace!
I bought this fabric for making mantillas for Lent and was not disappointed! Any beads in the way of the sewing path are easy to remove and if done properly and carefully, do not damage the embroidery. I only had to remove one on this mantilla and it took some strength, so I'm confident they will not fall off on their own. There was a scallop that was damaged and unraveling and had to be cut out of the yardage and fabric does smell strongly of chemicals, but nothing a little airing out can't fix. It comes in a nice little reusable zip bag for safe keeping which I appreciated, as it is a slippery fabric.
