Good value fir money. Not overly sophisticated but built well.
It comes with a new spindle which is obviously for certain bike wheels that allows the special doned nuts to fit snuggly into their clamp. I thought I was going to have problems as my bike wheel couldn’t simply take that. Was going to have to have it professionally altered, which defeats the object of getting a value for money easy to install device. So took a gamble that the manufacturers would not advise I am sure and didn’t use Clamped the existing spindle of the bike. Calculated that that part doesn’t actually move and the build quality of the device would with stand the clamping to keep secure. Works a treat. Nobody is saying that this a a multifunction device with lots of settings. It is not sold that way. You get a secure sturdy well designed clamp that applies resistance. The resistance can be adjusted by your gears if you have any. But fir amateurs wanting to use that bike in. Got shed at home fir a bit of resistance exercise. Hits the nail on the head. Worth the money.

Good but noisy with my tyre. A bit fiddly to set up but sturdy and steady
Good product but very noisy. The noise may be due to my knobbly tyre though so I'm going to get another tyre with a low tread pattern to see it that helps. I had planned to use this on the deck at the rear of my house but it is so noisy that I've had to move it to the lawn.I didn't realise that I'd have to replace the quick-release skewer with the one supplied with the device. This took a few minutes and was a bit messy. Not quite as straight-forward as I'd hoped. Once the skewer had been replaced, fitted and the wheel refitted to the bike, locating the bike in the trainer was a little fiddly but once secured, the bike seems secure and steady. I'm using my old bike for this purpose and I wouldn't fancy having to relocate my bike every time I wanted to use the trainer if I only had one bike. What I like about this trainer is that I can set the resistance using the control on the trainer then fine tune my "ride" using the gears on the bike.So far, so good. I'll update this review once I try a different tyre to see if I can get the noise down to a level where I can use it indoors.

Great budget trainer, easy to assemble and use
Received this a couple of days ago, it was well packed and looked sturdy. The instructions are a series of pictures with no text explanation, in multiple languages. The fact is, its so easy to set up that thie instructionsa re perfectly adequate and I was away in about 15 minutes.I have used it a couple of times and it works well, very satisfied with it.The only problem I found was that the clamps for the rear wheel are designed to suit the replacement quick release bar. If, like mine, your release mechanism is of a different design then it will damage the lever. I reccommend using the one supplied, its easy to swap and, even though it looks pretty cheap, it suit the purpose and matches the bracket on the trainer. You can see from the photos that it is only scratches but its annoying. Some reviews sayt it is noisy but I didn't find it so.Apart from that, all good so far. Happy with the purchase and working well.

Not bad for the money
Compact and easy to set up which was just as well as mine came with instructions for a completely different piece of equipment.( maintenance stand). Its pretty sturdy but mine was not very well put together. The weld between the friction wheel and the frame is not correctly lined up and obviously so by eye, so QC is something of an issue. This doesn't effect the operation of the unit so I decided to keep it rather than face the hassle of returning it. It is also very noisy as other reviews have mentioned, but at the price point I wasn't expecting too much . As I can use it out of the way of others who might find it annoying, and listening to music (quite loudly) I can live with that. Its easy to set the friction levels and my rear wheel is easy to fix to the stand.

Ride your bike without getting wet or knocked off!
If you want a simple to use basic trainer for your bike then this is it. I decided not to spend the extra 20 GBP on the more expensive UNISKY model and have no regrets. Set up in the garage in 15 minutes and that's it! Sturdy simple used as soon as installed and it's great seriously well worth the money and so much better than an exercise bike. So if you have grown a bit of a lock down baby get one of these stick your bins on select your favourite tunes and go for a virtual ride - oh without the risk of some numbskull car driver knocking you off - boost 😊

Beware Skewer length
Initial review based on limited usage, as the replacement skewer for the rear wheel is not long enough. I managed to get the nut onto the end of the skewer just enough to hold, but it failed after 5 mins use as it was too short and the end of the thread got stripped off. This happened because my Boardman MTB has a non-standard spacing on the back wheel.most bike have a spacing of 130-135 mm, for which the provided skewer is fine. My Boardman is over 140 mm. I have found a longer skewer on Amazon which I will try and then update this review. In the short time that I managed to use it it worked well. It was noisy, as noted by other reviewers, but it wasn't the roller making the noise, it was my MTB tyres and I can't see how this is a fault of the rig.UPDATE: No-one sells a skewer long enough for my bike so the whole thing is going back. Bought a fold-away exercise bike instead.
