Decent quality for a great price!
Just took this mask diving today down to 30ft. I was happily surprised by this mask. The skirt is very soft and comfortable on my face, fits well. Throughout my dive the mask stayed put and didn’t leak at all. Before you use the mask, I recommend scrubbing the mask with a scrub made for masks. You can also use some plain white toothpaste by rubbing it on the lens when it’s dry for 2 minutes and it will scrub away the thin layer of silicone left behind from the manufacturing process. If you don’t scrub your mask before use, you will get some fogging. After scrubbing, you can use a defog product just to be safe! This is the perfect mask to get started in snorkeling! Decent quality at an amazing price! Will update with pictures and more info after I use the mask for a few weeks!

A Great Deal On A Great Product!
This dive mask is a very good product at a fabulous price. I have used lots of different masks over the years and this mask has many of the features of other high dollar masks. I really liked how well the mask fit and the soft, flexible silicone skirt. I especially appreciate that the strap attaches to the skirt instead of the frame as this allows for a variety of face shapes and the mask should seal very well with many of them. If in the future the plastic strap attachment bits break (most do given time and use) I can easily run a small stainless steel loop through the connector hole in the skirt and attach a neoprene strap like I have on my other masks. This mask is a low to semi-low volume type and I can easily place it on my face and pull the strap over my head all with one hand, this is critical in overhead or close quarters environments where you may need to be doing something else with the one hand while replacing the mask on your face with the other. The strap that comes with the mask is of a large split design and stretches easily over the head, especially for short haired people like me, but unless you are using a hood females may run the risk of getting hair caught in the grippy silicone and a neoprene sleeve over the strap may be in order to rectify this. Another modern feature I like about the mask is that with the strap attaching to the skirt I can easily fold the mask flat and fit it in my Waterproof SD-Combat semi-dry wetsuit leg pocket if I need or desire to use this mask as a backup mask. Finally, the last modern feature that might interest some buyers is that there is a small gap between the skirt and the frame above the nose where you could use a GoPro mount and secure it with a zip-tie instead of needing to alter the mask to make it work. Overall, this a great deal and has a high feature to cost ratio which will draw many buyers to this mask.

Great Quality and Value
I am a newly certified diver and wanted to get a new mask. This one seems to be a great quality mask at a good price. Seems well built, seals well and has a good and clear field of view. Allows easy nose equalization as well. As long as you properly prepare it before diving, it will not fog either. As any new mask, it will have a thin layer of silicone on the inside of the lens left over from the manufacturing process. This silicone interferes with defogging treatments, and until it’s removed, your mask will fog no matter how much defog you use. One option to remove it is with toothpaste, as described by the product and will work well. But there is another method to do this: fire. The silicone can quickly and effectively be burned off with a lighter. Here are a few steps:1. Stand in a protected area, out of the wind2. Hold the flame of the lighter carefully near the inside of the lens, but not directly on it, until the lenses are all black3. The heat could make the mask fog, and you will be able to see the silicone burn away4. Carefully move the flame around the lens to clear the remaining silicone. Be very careful around the silicone skirt of the mask. Also, be careful of your thumb as the lighter gets very hot when you maintain the flame for more than just a second or two5. The lens will be hot. Set the mask aside and let it cool before wiping out the silicone residue6. Make sure the mask is completely cool and rinse it with water to remove any lingering residue. Just like any glassware, remember that any sudden change from very hot to very cold can cause the glass to shatter! And, do not forget, before every dive, apply baby shampoo or a commercial defog to avoid fogging! Happy diving!

Quality product after typical defog procedure
As a SCUBA assistant instructor, I purchased this mask as a backup and a spare for students. I have a large head, but this mask seemed to fit me well without leaking and the strap tightness is very easy to adjust and stays put when you have the size set. As with any new mask, defog procedures need to be followed or it will give you trouble. The above pictures help illustrate the defog procedure. In the first picture, I was trying to get the mask to fog by exhaling through my nose into he mask. It obviously fogged rather easily as all new masks will. During the manufacturing process, contaminants deposit on the glass that must be removed before use or there will be fogging difficulties. In the seconds picture I have applied the cheapest non gel toothpaste I could find to the right lens only for demonstration purposes. I rubbed the toothpaste around on the lens and rinsed it under hot water. I repeated his process three time on the right lens. The third picture shows the results toothpaste. I once again tried to get the mask to fog by exhaling into it through my nose. The untreated side fogged easily, but the toothpaste treated side showed no signs of fogging. The final picture is of the mask after both lenses have been treated 4 times with the toothpaste and rinsed. Neither side fogged although I tried to get them to. I then took the mask into a cool pool and treated it once again with standard defog solution and rinsed it. In the pool I had no problems with fogging or leaking. I will be taking the mask into the pool again to tomorrow for 4 hours for further testing and will update the review if needed, but so far this mask seems to be an excellent value.
