New CH10162 MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Set Compatible with 1998-04 Ford Mustang 3.8L 232 / F150 E150 E250 Econoline Van 4.2L 256 V6

Gaskets look ok, but the lower intake gasket is an inferior design. The newer gasket has the water jackets isolated from the intake runners.There were known failures with this old design so Ford had to update the design to the one I described. I was unaware of this when I ordered so I had to buy a 35$ dorman gasket to replace the one provided in this kit.The gasket I removed from the vehicle ( 2000 Ford Mustang ) was the newer design, so I decided to put back what I took out.Attached is a picture of the newer and improved gasket like the one I ordered.Update: The thermostat gasket provided melted due to water contact. This is unacceptable and it makes me worried about the other gaskets I used from this kit. I now wish I would have just paid for the brand name kit I was considering.Update 2: Both valve cover gaskets have started leaking after 5000 miles of use, both have hardened and no longer function.
