got this as a small upgrade for my espresso setup and it’s done the job nicely. The 51mm size fits my machine’s portafilter just right and it’s made tamping much easier and more consistent. It’s got a good bit of weight to it so you don’t have to press too hard and the handle is comfy to hold. The aluminium alloy feels strong and well made, not cheap or flimsy. It’s not the most premium tamper out there but for this price you can’t really complain. Great if you’re just getting into making espresso at home or want something simple that works. It’s helped improve the shot quality a bit and feels much better than the plastic one that came with the machine. Definitely worth picking up if you’re into home brewing.

A beautifully made solid (it is actually 2 pieces screwed together) tamper with a hefty weight and highly polished finish. For a simple no frills entry level solution to tamping grounds, what more do you need than this very well priced offering. If you’re a coffee nut or Barista you may want something more sophisticated, but this works fine for me at home.

It look nice and does the job ok. I gave it 3 stars because I assumed it was all one piece only to find the bottom part unscrews and was loosening up after use. It was also a very tight fit in the porta filter and was getting stuck. I gave it away. It's weighty , comfortable to hold and might work fine with others esspreso machine. Just didn't suit mine.

The Aptspade 51mm coffee tamper offers great quality and value for the price. It fits perfectly into my 51mm porta filter basket. It’s easy for my arthritic hand to hold comfortably. It has just the right weight to apply light pressure to consistently make a dense, flat coffee puck for extracting delicious espresso shots from home machine. It’s a wonderful replacement for the plastic tamper that came with my machine.
