Perfect for introducing young children to microbiology!
As a bookstore owner, I was looking for a durable, yet not expensive, microscope to offer to customers with young children interested in science, especially biology. Let me tell you, we cannot keep this microscope in stock. Our customers love it. The instructions for use are easy to follow; the kit comes with specimens, bottles, etc. that make a child feel like a real scientist. Best of all, it really works and magnifies things that cannot be seen with the naked eye. I do recommend parental supervision and care during the first use. Lastly, the microscope requires 2 AA batteries so don't forget them. The MMUSC Brand microscope is a great value for the cost.

Great beginner microscope
This was a good product to introduce young children to microbiology and other sciences. It was very easy to adjust and use. Great product for homeschool and independent learning. Very reasonable price.

Great first microscope for kids
My 7 year old asked for a microscope for Christmas. I found this to be a great first microscope for small children. It is plastic, but seems to focus fairly well on different "specimen." She really enjoys playing with it.

For beginner children
Has particles on the light that makes you think you’re looking at something. Only needed it for one project and that was a success. Perfect for kids to explore items. Was able to look at creek water to see small moving bacteria.

Keep the kids interested
It’s not a professional microscope, but it is perfect for my 8 year old that showed an interest. She likes to examine small things she finds outside in nature walks. Anything to inspire a desire for learning is worth it to me.

Plastic in Microscopes is Bad
I have bought microscopes for children in the past. Contrary to what many believe, young children (aged 4 or 5) are quite capable of using one, given adequate adult assistance. Sadly, I failed to read the product description closely. Additional, I did not appreciate the significance of a metal body in terms of focusing. This product is plastic AND poorly constructed. So much so that focusing is almost impossible because the loose connections allow different parts to move during the process. So, I'm out some money, but I have a stronger motivation to upgrade! Also have a decent model to use for teaching parts of aicroscope.

Great for curious children!
My 8 year old daughter bought this with her own Christmas money! She has loved finding new things to see under the microscope. The quality is great for the price, it comes assembled, and it’s very easy to use.
