I bought this kit mainly for a large, single pain window that acts more like a drum head for all the neighborhood noise. I don't really use the window so blocking it was not a problem. The sound absorption panels are well made, don't have any odd odors, and have worked pretty well so far. These will not absorb 100% of all noise, and should not be expected to do so.My only complaint is with the sound blocking panel intended for a door. The grommet spacing is too wide for my 30" wide, interior doors. I won't be able use the panel without buying parts/tools to add more grommets.If I did it again, I would have only bought the sound blocking panels to mount in front of the exterior facing window and passed on this full kit.

We live in a newer apartment with an Indian Ringneck Parakeet. They can be very loud with high frequency chirps and screams. In a 12X13 bedroom with a vaulted ceiling that starts from 9ft and goes to 11ft. Before the Audimute kit with the bedroom door shut, you could hear the bird throughout the whole 1050 sq ft apartment. After Audimute it took the noise down by at least 80% outside the room and inside the room it’s tamed down a bit. If you’re on a budget, just the door covering and door gasket kit could manage noise down a lot, but with the blankets on 3 sides of the cage it really deadens the sound and discourages louder calls since it doesn’t reverberate in the room now. Also, their products are made in the USA and can be installed/removed easily.

This product would probably do great in a small space. It absorbs some of the sound but not enough. Also need alternative hanging methods.
