None better at its speed.
The Ilford FP4+ is the best film that I have shot in its speed class. I find that this film is nearly grainless and has a sort of dreamy softness to it. As with most black and white film, I shoot this at half box speed (ISO 64) and get better results than shooting at 125. I highly recommend this film for daylight and studio shooting situations.

Ilford FP 4 Film
Ilford FP4 film is one of my favorite B&W films. Great detail, tonal range and good contrast too. Great for street photography.

Great film!
I love the you don't have to buy this film in a pack, you can purchase one at a time. Film came on time and was packaged well and was not damaged. I already shot and developed using this film and everything came out perfect. I will definitely be being more of these.

Nice film
Does what it should. Outdoor and some bright indoor shooting possible. Works best with cool tones. I prefer Kodak Tmax, but this one is a decent sub.

My goto B&W film
For B&W film I have tried almost all the Ilford, Kodak, and Fuji films stock. This Ilford FP4+ is my goto B&W. At ASA (ISO) 125 with a yellow K2 filter (minus half a stop) it is a workable film speed. If in your shooting you find 125 is too slow use a tripod, monopod, a bean bag, or something sturdy, eliminating camera shake. The grain is not something to be concerned about, contrast is good, properly exposed shadows appear wonderful as do highlights. My suggestion not to under expose more than one stop; it may become muddy.

Perfect film!
Okay so I am not a photographer, but do you know how hard it is to find actual film? My daughter needed this for her college photography class, and this was the only place that sold what she needed. Great price and exactly what she needed. Since, I have bought four more and will continue to buy this brand as this is a much higher quality film than most.

my favorite black and white film type from ilford
i have tried different ilford film products for 35mm camera, and out of all of them this film gives me the lowest grain and better range of shades as well as blacks. I don't think i could ever use a different type of film after having used this one.
