Worked great to install mini split. perfect size for a 12 k unit with 1/4 and 3/8 piping

I would have rated these four stars had I paid full price.However, I caught a screaming deal and got them for less than the price of the 7’ kit.Installation is fairly straightforward, but take your time and be sure of your placement, especially if you’re setting anchors.The kit is fairly forgiving, installation could be a lot worse.I would buy this brand again.

We used these to cover the entire 16' lineset. They are perfect for the 9,000 to 12,000 BTU linesets. The only drawbacks we had were the joints. Doing it again, I would pre-fit the joint covers before finalizing the positioning of the pieces. If you don't you run the risk of getting the pieces too close together and the joint cover won't properly snap in place. If you are doing a larger lineset these won't work since the lineset is very snug inside the 3" covers, and you should look for the 4" covers. These made for a very professional looking install by rank amateurs.

My mini split had been installed already, so I was glad to see that this could be installed over the lines after the fact (all parts are 2 snap together pieces. The only disappointing factor is that the flexible part of this kit is not 2 parts and would have had to be installed on the lines before the mini split was connected. Thus I could not use that part of the kit. Overall still a great value and the PVC plastic should hold up for years.

The parts are of good quality, and have been holding up well after a year.

Good for the price

Simply put it works for 1/4" + 1/2" refrigerant lines, plus a comm line.I'm no HVAC guy but I have never seen a 36k unit with lines that small, and these baaarely fit around the bends. So I seriously have doubts that 3/8 + 5/8 would make the corners.Maybe if you had naked lines...Anyway, it looks alright. I had to offset the top cover since it was too small to cover a 4" flange in a 3" hole. But it does close up well enough to keep stuff out.I drilled a hole in the bottom of the first low corner piece to pop the drip tube out, routed the rest toward the compressor.If you are willing to fight it a bit, you can save some money with this kit. Otherwise a larger 4" might be better for most people.I'm frugal and wasn't running huge lines so bought two sets. I wasn't able to break anything despite being half caveman. So all in all it worked out.

This line set cover is high quality and looks great. I did need to correspond with the company after my purchase and the service I received from Marcia was exemplary.I would definitely do business with them again.
