When my ancient battery clock expired, I got this to see if I could replace the movement. Due to the depth of the glass, I had to do a small alteration, but now clock has been working fine. Yes, I still use clocks.

The unit and subsequent parts were good value however at first the pendulum didn't work but now has begun to do it's jobso satisfied customer again.

I bought this quartz clock movement to replace a mechanical movement on a regulator clock that the main spring had lost it's capacity to run the clock for more than a short time. The new quartz replacement was simple to install and I was able to reuse the original pendulum. This one cost $14 and a new mechanical movement would have been over $250 to repair/replace. I have worked with clocks and watches over my lifetime. This was a simple, inexpensive fix. My only error in determining the correct movement to purchase was the was the shaft length which was too long for a thin clock face, but I used rubber washers behind to take up the extra length. I added the second hand (temporarily) to help keep track of the time accuracy of this movement over a period of time. Time accuracy has been within +/- a second or two over the past two weeks. ( I used my atomic clock, phone and Alexa Ball (visible time) to test the new movements accuracy over this period. Yes it works and keeps to near perfect time oer the past two weeks. When it starts losing time. it's time for a fresh battery change. I have quartz clock movements that have been running clocks for decades with fresh batteries changes on occasion.
