El Avion Smoked Hot Paprika - Pimenton Picante Ahumado

If you like some paprika and add some smoky taste to food with a little bit of heat, perfect. Very tasty.

This is a fantastic paprika! It is smoky, spicy and so flavorful. I add it to canned soups for a bright addition. Love it in all recipes that call for paprika. you don't need much so a can lasts a long time.

Not too spicy and adds a great flavor to all my stews.

This is my favorite paprika. I dont buy anything else. I found it by accident through Try The World and love how much flavor it adds to things.

Best full bodied taste in cooking! So much better than buying off the shelf in the grocery store. Among the many recipes I use it in, my whole roast chicken wouldn’t taste right without this smoked paprika! Recommend to everyone who cooks!

This smoked paprika is from Spain. The one I got was very fresh with an expiration date nearly 3 years in the future. No way it will last that long around here - though I buy a lot of other herbs and spices in big 1 pound or larger sizes, I buy the small cans because paprika is really best fresh. One can lasts me about 3 months. When I opened this, the smell hit me, which is always a good sign. It has a nice smoky taste, and a medium hot spice to it. It comes very packed, they give you as much as they can. It has a nice, rich red color, and a very fine grind. I do prefer La Chinata Hot Smoked Paprika , but at this time, it is over twice the price. It's not twice as good though, just somewhat better. This one has a bit less heat (Which can be adjusted if you add a bit of capsicum to taste to it) and the color, while red, is not just a screaming purely bright red color like La Chinata has. Paprika should be kept protected from light- I always keep mine well closed in the tin. It is not a good spice to take out and put in clear bottles! This is a cute little tin, it is easy to spot in the cabinet.

Smells and tastes delicious! Not sure how I'm going to use it up by expiration date of October 2023 though.

Unique flavor on the hot side that goes so well with eggs, stews—anything I used it with. Had to get used to the old style, uncloggable metal top that needs to be pried off with knife or spoon. Definitely an upgrade and worth the extra money.
