Q: will the chain's clasp fit into a very tiny hole (about 1/10 of an inch)?

I don’t think so. The clasp is pretty thick.

Q: Which size would be good if you want to wear a purse on your shoulder?

I got that 23.6, but that will all depend on your arm size and how long you want it to drop. Best to measure to make sure what’s right for you.

Q: Can I make this strap shorter ?

You can modify the strap to be a little shorter by clipping some of the chain in the clasp and then attaching the clasp to the handbag. There will be a little loop of extra chain, but it will be shorter. For example if you need it 8" shorter (4" on each side), hold the clasp and count up to the 10th loop above the clasp and insert that 10th loop into the clasp hook, repeat on the other side. Then attach the chain to your bag. No too noticeable, but it works.
