7 days of use and I'm in my pre-pregnancy pants
About a week post-partum I decided to start wearing the Belly bandit that I purchased. I tried wearing it for awhile but it was so uncomfortable with the velcro always itching me and you could see it through my clothes with the flap sticking out. It just wasn't working out, so I stopped wearing it and hoped the healthy eating and working out would get my belly down. 3 months PP I still had my belly and decided I really needed to do something more when I had a strange lady ask me if I was pregnant. I definitely wasn't happy about that, especially since my stomach wasn't really THAT big. So I looked for more things to use and found Bellefit. I was a little skeptical, especially since the Belly bandit didn't work out. But after reading reviews, I decided to try it. Let me tell you this thing really is great. I purchased the one with the zipper on the side since I had a vaginal delivery. I preferred this one over that pull-up one since it has the bra type fasteners that you can let out or tighten up. I got it on a Tuesday, put it on that night and wore it every day to work the rest of that week. I noticed a change in the way my stomach looked throughout that week, but nothing to get excited about. Over the weekend I didn't wear it because it is uncomfortable... it's tight (which it should be), leaving marks where water retention would leave marks, and then it also rubs your crotch a little too much and leaves marks. So I decided to take a break on it for the weekend. Looks wise I regretted it, because by Sunday my stomach looked bigger again. But I wore it all day Monday again, and then Tuesday morning I went to try on some of my prepregnancy work pants and I actually got them fastened! There wasn't a chance I could get them fastened before I bought this a week ago. Also, 2 days in to wearing it I tried on my pants and they wouldn't fasten. So 7 days later is amazing for these results. I really couldn't be happier. It also helps you feel so much better because you almost look normal again! I absolutely love it and will continue to wear it until I can wear my regular clothes without its help. Also, the chaffing is totally worth it. I'll deal with the pain to look good again! It's really not that bad. Just pull your underwear out a little to the side to cover wear it digs into your skin.

Good post partum girdle to start with...
I started wearing this about 2 weeks after giving birth and thought I would never fit into it. I read all the online reviews on how to size it which is on the Bellefit website. Sizing it according to their website is a must. It was comfortable for the first 6-8weeks and worked quite well. I got the next size down from small to x-small as my body grew used to the initial size and slowed in its shrinking. The x-small was not as comfortable and seemed to be designed a little different where the top band was not as stretchy so it left welt marks on my rib cage. However, that aside, even the small size later became uncomfortable because the boning on the side started to come out from the girdle into my skin, cutting my skin. The zipper also became a severe discomfort as it tended to jut out into my skin. This was also the case for the x-small size too. Some stitching came out on the side causing irritation when moving around. The bottom portion can also become uncomfortable after awhile because it is thick and does not allow much breathing. It is recommended that this be worn 24/7 for at least 8 weeks which I did but eventually switched to other girdles that allowed breathing down below and didn't have the boning on the side that came through the fabric. The price for this girdle, in addition to the above, put this girdle at a 3 star rating. If you have the money to start with this girdle, I would recommend it but otherwise, I would look to other girdles such as the ones that clasp in the front or on the sides and ones that are cheaper because they work just as well.

Results after 10 days!
I was a size 6 pre-pregnancy and gained 32 pounds over the pregnancy. However, I had a very difficult labor (30+ hours), ending in a c-section, so when I left the hospital, I was pumped full of fluids and had only lost 6 pounds. Mind you, my baby came into this world weighing 7 1/2 pounds! My doctor recommended a compression support, so, at first, I bought the Belly Bandit. I hated that post-partum girdle because it was incredibly bulky and rode up on my chest every single time I nursed the baby. I didn't wear it very much but, after about 4 weeks, the swelling came down. At 5 weeks postpartum, I had lost 20 pounds but I still looked 6 months pregnant. Yuck! The Belly Bandit was getting loose on me and my maternity jeans didn't fit any more. Unfortunately, neither did my ordinary pre-pregnancy jeans. I went to GAP to try on clothes and I couldn't get any size 8s buttoned and zipped and the size 10 jeans were totally baggy around my thighs but very tight on my waist and I had a huge pooch when I buttoned them. Needless to say, I had no shot in hell in getting my size 6 jeans zipped and buttoned. I was frustrated and upset and decided to invest in the Bellefit based on the Amazon reviews. I started wearing the Bellefit at 6 weeks postpartum, not sure that it would make a significant difference since most people recommended wearing it right out of the hospital. I ordered a size small. Within 3 days, I noticed that my stomach seemed smaller. At 7 weeks 3 days postpartum (so 10 days after I started wearing the Bellefit), my maternity jeans were so loose that they were literally falling off me. Strangely enough, I hadn't lost any weight at all between when I started wearing the Bellefit to ten days later. But, on a whim, I decided to try my pre-pregnancy jeans. And, they fit! I could get them zipped and buttoned, though there was quite a large pooch hanging over. Basically, I think the Bellefit significantly helped my uterus shrink down and I was excited that, in 10 days, I saw significant results. So, yes, it isn't the most comfortable thing and, yes, I hate the bulging fat between the Bellefit and my breasts (I don't know why they don't make this taller up so that it comes right under the bra), and, yes, it's expensive. But, in 10 days, I went from no-shot-in-hell pants to yes-my-pre-pregnancy-jeans-fit. And, that was worth every single cent for me.

Too uncomfortable to wear!!
I was overwhelmed by all the positive reviews for this girdle so I purchased and started wearing 2 days after being discharged from the hospital. It is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever worn!! There's boning in the sides that doesn't go all the way down, it's inly about 2 inches long that digs into your sides- I had to put something for cushion there so I could wear it. Also, the crotch area is too wide and digs into the sides of my thighs. The compression material is very high quality and the girdle seems to be made well and would last but I simply can not wear it because I'm miserable when I do! I purchased a small according to the size guides, it was difficult to get into at first but now i can zip it just fine. It was just a total waste and wish I would have just bought a seamless girdle of good quality.

Wanted to like this more
For the price of this girdle I had high hopes. I sized up like other users mentioned, but still couldn't even zip it up until 3 months post pardum. And then the top kept rolling down and pinching the h*ll out of me. I had a bright red line around my rib cage. Overall the product is made well, but I'll have to lose even more weight for it to be comfortable to wear for more than a couple hours. So, really, what's the point of that if I can't get the belly support and look nice in clothes?

Review
I was a little worried I ordered the wrong size at first because the first two weeks after I had my daughter- I couldn't get it zipped up even though I followed the directions on how to measure for the correct size. It turns out it was just water weight and bloating from having a baby that caused it to not fit. once that was done, I had to suck my stomach in and button it on the most inner clasp to get it to zip, but once it was zipped it would feel very supportive. As other reviews have pointed out- the boning on the side does dig in a little if you are doing a lot of bending or sitting, but just being up and walking around at the mall or down the street isn't too bad. I had to put the crotch clasps on the farthest out clasp other wise it would pull down the whole thing so that my back fat rolls would cause the top to roll down a little, but once I loosened the whole thing up at the crotch then it would cover the rolls and I didn't have a problem unless I was doing a lot of bending. It is a little uncomfortable after 4 hours of wear between the legs because it is a bit wide and begins to rub into the sides wear underwear sit so I don't wear it for long. The girdle has a lot of support and helps me fit into my prepregnancy jeans without any trouble. I really do like this. I would buy it again, but I think I will also by the one without the boning on the side for days I know I have to be sitting or bending a lot.

Works Great, Comparison vs the Wink Ultimate Bikini Shaper
I first ordered the Wink Ultimate Bikini Shaper in hopes that it would return me to my pre-pregnancy form quickly after birth. I packed it in my hospital bag and when it came time to wear it on the way home, managed to some how slip it up and on (bought the one without the zipper). The top band on the Wink bikini was incredibly tight, while I felt the compression part was not doing very much at keeping me sucked in. As a result, I could only wear for an hour or so before having incredible back pain without any benefit. I immediately ordered the Bellefit girdle with zipper, as I had seen very good reviews for it after I had already ordered the Wink but at that point figured I'd try the Wink first. Got it with one day shipping with my Prime, and put it on. Despite the fact that it was very tight and held me in really well, it is super comfortable. The band at the top did not cut off my back or give me any pain. I started wearing it on day 5 post partum and have worn it every day, and I believe my stomach has definitely gone down more than it would have on its own. While wearing it too it provides nice back support while nursing and being on my feet. I am very pleased with my purchase and if I do need to go down a size as I continue to contract I will be happy to spend the money on a second one. As for sizing, I am 5'8" 160 pre-pregnancy and gained 35 pounds. I ordered the M in the Bellefit and while it was difficult getting it on the first few times I don't think the Large would have lasted me very long so am glad I ordered the M. I ordered the XL in the Wink and the sizing is about the same as the Bellefit M.

Worth every penny
I purchased this based on the high reviews of friends and am so glad I did. I went to the product website to calculate the size midway through my pregnancy, and it worked perfectly. I ended up needing a c-section, so thankfully I had purchased the one that works for both. It is not comfortable, but at the same time the support did help with my c-section pain. I also had a pretty severe separation of my abdominal muscles. This supported my muscles and held everything in place so that it could heal. I had a 9.5 lb baby and lots of extra amniotic fluid, so my poor belly was enormous (I'm very small and petite). I was able to squeeze onto this on day 4 after my c-section, I still looked 8 months pregnant and had no hope that my belly would recover in any hurry. Within 2 weeks I was back at my pre-pregnancy weight and my belly was almost completely flat. My skin was another story and has been much slower to shrink and heal, but my shape recovered quickly. I wore it for the full 6 weeks as recommended and also followed a pretty strict regimen for the separation in my abdominal muscles to heal. Now at 7 months my muscles are back in line with no separation and I'm back in my skinny jeans! This support band really helped jump start the process for me and I highly recommend it. It's uncomfortable but worth it if you want your figure back. It IS possible to get your body back after a big baby, and this is a wonderful aid in the process!
