As she was one of two women in his life. Now that he has passed away she writes very angry letters to him in Heaven and leaves them in a mailbox that is in the middle of a field. One day she comes to the mailbox to discover a man removing and reading the letters. She challenges his wright to do that. He is shocked, mailmen to Heaven are invisible to everyone. But he discovers that she can see him because of how much pain she is in. He enlists her help with the letters that were sent. The letters are read and they help the senders deal with their pain of loosing their loved ones. Sometimes they use a little creativity to do it. But the rule is that his identity must be kept a secret at all times. If he is found out , he will disappear forever. As this happens the couple start to fall in love with each other. But is he a ghost or an Angel? She doesn't know. But as she starts to slowly replace the pain in her heart with love for him, he starts to fade away from her sight. In brief moments and then minutes and even longer spaces of him becoming invisible to her. But all good things come to an end when she gets mad at him and tells his identity to someone. She sadly goes to the places that they would go together like the lighthouse and the coffee shop. All traces of him vanish, even in their picture together. As he is now in Heaven to receive his punishment, he finds that he gets thanked for his service instead. As a reward he will be returned to his body that is in a coma at the hospital with his memories removed. He asks for his memories of their love and what she looks like to be able to be left for him. But the best they can do is to make it like a dream that he may forget when he wakes up. Is this the end? No. These two do meet up and immediately sense each other and feel their strong bond. True love overcomes all. But you won't believe where they meet again. I couldn't help but chuckle to myself over it.I hope you will love this movie as much as I do. Usually when you buy a series with the name Heaven in it, it has a sad ending. For example, the dramas Stairway To Heaven and Tree of Heaven. Until I watched them, I didn't know there were sad Korean dramas. Both are excellent dramas but have very sad endings. So, that was what I was expecting to see in this movie. But I was pleasantly surprised. These two actors were perfect together and made you feel like this could really happen. Silly, I know. But, I felt immediately connected to the characters in the movie.I write reviews for dramas and CDs from Korean, Taiwan, China, Japan. Currently there are only a few cd reviews. But I am slowly listing my CDs and dramas from these countries plus new ones I've watched or purchased. I try to give as many details as possible. If I have helped you in anyway, please click on that button. I hope I can help you make good purchases and keep you away from bad sets. Jaejoong and Han Hyo-Joo.................... belong together.................forever...
I have watched this movie about four times on the internet and finally found the DVD here on Amazon.com. I am truly excited and looking forward to owning this excellent movie and being able to watch DVD quality instead of watching the poor internet quality.I love Han Hyo Joo and try to watch all her movies. My favorite Korean TV drama is Dong Yi which she co-starred in (and won best actress award). I discovered Jaejoong from watching this beautiful movie (Heaven’s Postman).Jaejoong is a Korean singer who has a voice from heaven. His acting skills are quite impressive; you'd never guess he is a world class singer. He has acted in two TV K-dramas (although I could not watch one of those to the end because I could tell his character would again end up with a not happy ending). Even though he is a mega k-pop star, he is humble enough to take roles which are not “main character,” and for both shows he received the “best new actor” award. I think if his character had a good ending, those show ratings would have been better. I noticed both shows ratings fell when his character headed for sadness. I’m from the U.S. but I think many from Japan and Korea think very highly of him as I do. I'm not Korean and don't know the language but I have a sincere appreciation for the passion of expression it portrays. In 2012 both Jaejoong and Han Hyo Joo were voted as favorite celebrities by Japanese Mpost TV. Once you do a little research on these two, you’ll wish for them to be together forever. They both have a kind, loving, playful, rascal, pure, innocence you can’t help but love.In summary, “Heaven’s Postman” is good lightweight movie, it could have been longer with a few more punches in it. I still rate it as five stars because of Jaejoong and Han Hyo Joo. I’d like to see them acting together again. Wish I were a writer, I would write a love story “Vampires from Heaven,” they both would be perfect as co-stars for a Korean “Twilight” type series.

heavenly romance
Beautifully filmed, fairytale-like story of love and loss. There is a mailbox standing out in an empty field, where people leave messages for their dead loved ones. A young woman leaving a message for her recently deceased (and two-timing) lover confronts a young man removing the letters from the box. He claims to be the "postman to heaven". What is he, she wonders? A ghost? An angel? Or just a liar? But when he quotes her own letters back to her, she begins to believe. The postman enlists her help in bringing closure to the living, and in doing so, she begins to get over her own grief. The two begin to grow closer, but there's a catch--it seems that only those with unresolved grief can see the postman. Once they've accepted their loss and moved on, so must he.My original review was based on viewing this movie online at the Dramafever website. I ended up giving that DVD as a gift, so I don't know if the subs are the same or not. I have subsequently purchased several other titles from PMP Entertainment, however, and have never had a problem with them. They tend not to have a lot of extras, but the video, audio and English subtitles are generally high quality.
