The Fit and Finish (Watch video) Overall, the pole (5’6” Heavy 2 Piece) is amazing. Gorgeous when the sun hits it…. The Blue & Silver POP..! After going over the entire rod, I found nothing wrong with it cosmetically. All of the reel eyelets are straight inline, the stainless rollers are beautiful and shows no nicks or sharp edges. The pole also comes with a nice rod bag/sleeve. It was shipped securely and even had a “tip protector” when the rod arrived. Mechanically All the stainless rollers work as intended with little to no space to pinch a line. Additionally, all of my screws holding the “rollers” were taught as they should be. The “2 Piece” isn’t a traditional 2 piece rod. The rod and “upper grip” are ONE piece. The lower grip & portion of the reel seat (approximately 18”) are the SECOND piece. Without the lower piece attached, the upper rod portion stands just above 4’ tall. The rod seat is exceptionally study as one would expect from a saltwater heavy rod. With all aluminum, I can see the anodized blue wearing over time. Connecting the 2 pieces together takes all but 5-10 seconds and is very secure as it locks into place. As mentioned in the video, the lower “end cap” slides on easily and could possible be lost easily also. It is very minor issue in my opinion. I also showed a fix for this in the video. Once the end cap is removed, it exposes an aluminum rod rest to easily fit into a rod harness. Again, everything fits seamlessly. The LOWER portion of the rod grip is different that what is in the description and seems like an upgrade. It’s made of a matching black hard but textured pvc material. I can imagine this was done to protect the rod from being placed in and out of a rod holder limiting scuffing and damage. Durability I am very happy with the overall build and durability of this rod. Nothing seems cheap or as though they cut corners. The Rod also looks to clean up after fishing with ease. The upper grip is a firm foam material. I hesitate to say hard but it’s tough and feels wonderful in my hands. The balance of the rod is also a big plus for me. The rod is slightly forward heavy and with a reel attached, creates an appealing balance which makes holding the full rig a pleasure. The eyelet stainless rollers look very durable and also easily changed out if desired. Value What else can I say? It’s a beautiful rod at a fair price point..! Wish List -Tighter End Cap that snaps/screws/pops on. -Wish the rod came in other colors such as red to match my reel. Customizing I may wrap the grips with “Red, White & Blue” paracord. Plenty of YouTube vids available.

This says it all bought 2 more. Great quality and looks. Used for deep sea mahi tuna. Used quite a while no rust.

First off the other comments about the rod butt not fitting square to the stick are accurate, seems the groove that aligns the two parts is not 90° square. Second, THIS IS A #1 SIZE BUTT, NOT #2. You will need a melton tackle addaptor ($35) if you want to use a bent butt. This is all okay for a $70 rod. Honestly impressive, nice overall finish. Plan to use this as a beater rod for tilefishing so it fits that bill perfectly, no need to feel guilty boping 3lbs all day.

I haven't used it yet but the quality and build quality is A+!!! Very pleased with this purchase!!! Will definitely buy again!!!

The handles, that the reel is mounted to, do not line up with the rod line guides and can not be adjusted. Can not find a customer service contact for FibLink to get a resolution.

Excellent when paired with the PENN Squall 50vsw 2 speed reel. I have caught many Wahoos and tuna on this rig. Never fails! Highly recommend both the rod and reel.

The rod construction is ok. The rollers are very small and cheap. They will fail immediately . Made in China so don’t expect much.

Very happy with product. Will not deal with this seller again. After saying it was shipped, when I tried tracking, nothing would work for another week. It was not shipped but seller did not have enough integrity to give an honest answer. My complaints got me a discount but I ordered the fishing rod when I needed it, not 2 weeks later. My advice, find an honest seller

Have not used it yet but tested with line hooked up to 85lbs. Held up fine. You can adjust your reel alignment to the rod but make sure it is tightened down really will as the locking nuts can come loose if just hand tightened.
