The Original Slinky is just as fun now as it was when we were kids. My toddler doesn’t understand stairs yet, but he loves the metallic sound and bounce. It’s a nostalgic, screen-free toy that sparks creativity (and giggles). We keep one upstairs and one in the toy bin.

Following someone's suggestion, I bought these to put on a shepherd hook to keep the squirrels away. Well I had it slide down from the hook (connected 2 with zip ties), and here came a squirrel - no effect. BUT, when I slid the entirety back together and put it in one mass at the hook going up (again zip tied in place), there have not been any squirrels try it since! I don't know what they think it is, but they moved on to somewhere else, so GREAT for this!!

Just like the old days. Great toys, of course, but I bought them to make portable HF antennas. I'm a ham and these are perfect. Actually good for EFHW or Dipole antennas and you may have other ideas. Easy to solder to the end with just a little surface sanding. Look up Slinky Antennas and GET ON THE AIR.

They didn't walk our stairs as well as I remembered but they had fun with them.

Just what I needed to keep squirrels from climbing bird feeder poles. Bonus was I got to relive childhood by playing slinky before attaching it. Good times!

These are not the original that I remember. It would not go down the stairs like my old Al boy could do. Not long enough and a smaller slinky in general.
