It germinates quickley and most of the seeds have germinated.
I used it for to cover several large bare areas in my yard to prevent erosion until l plant my lawn with a warm weather grass such as Bermuda. As a cover grass it has sprouted pretty fast with little preparation except a shallow rake in. I think it will do well until I replant. I understand that it fixes nitrogen and is good for the new grass once it’s tilled in. I will have to see how it does in the early spring.

Does not grow, junk
Bought a 5 lb bag. Spread with a Scott’s hand spreader, raked it in and watered next day and on third day. NOTHING came up. Don’t waste your money on this brand!!!

Amazing product!! Will be using this again!!
I live in the south and have a centipede lawn that goes dormant in the cool season. Have used rye grass during the cool period for asthetics. Never been pleased with past results. Saw this product and gave it a try. This is exactly what I wanted to see! Very easy to establish and the results were amazing!! I had a bare area on a shady side of my house that would never take. Just threw it out there by hand to see what would happen. It is even staying green as it is warming up where other types of ryegrass die back by now. I am going to do my whole yard next fall!! AWSOME product.

Planted in early Feb. Sprouting in March
These seeds are large and easy to spread on bare patches with little prep. They are sprouting well now in March as weather warms. It is a very thick stemmed grass that should hold soil well on steep hills.

Not for Texas heat
Bought it for my front lawn worked good in the not so hit weather but as soon as that 110+ weather hit here in Texas it died real quick. Grew fast though so if you are in a cooler region it might work for you.
