Happy with it. Will buy more.
I tested it out with no issues. Came in a padded box with the display already soldered on. I modified one a bunch and 3D printed a case for the other one. Tested them at .7 miles on Long,Fast in an urban area next to high voltage train lines. Will try long, slow next. I am going to use the GPIO pins for a rotary encoder to use canned preset messages so that I don't need a phone to use it.

You need 3 of these for a mesh
Does not ship with any documentation. Overall, the board looks like a quality build. The seller's photo shows the device with the Oled screen soldered on the board. The buyer needs to complete this step by themselves. A flat top 18650 battery will also be needed as it is not provided. There are a multitude of options to accessorize this board with add on devices . You will want to join the forums at meshtastic dot org.

No battery and you need soldering skills if you want a screen
I was a bit surprised that I had to solder the screen, but I probably didn't read up enough before buying it. I felt misled that the 18650 was not included, and I also did not know right away that I needed the tabless version. They all came together to cause my installation nightmare. Once prices return to normal, this board worth $25, not $50. Especially if you need soldering skills and need to locate a tabless battery. Thankfully, I got the Bluetooth pairing code over serial. Otherwise, it would have been in the trash by the next morning. Add to that, it took three hours of troubleshooting before determining the Play Store version of ATAK doesn't work with MT.In short, don't bother with the screen (just get the Bluetooth PIN over serial), pinch the battery clips HARD to free up 2mm (or buy the flat-end version of the 18650), and use the .gov version of ATAK with the latest Forwarder. Save yourself endless amounts of frustrations and dead ends.2+ months later: The device was quite frustrating at first, frequently disconnecting from the Bluetooth connection to my phone, requiring me to get the Bluetooth pairing code via serial to restore the connection. Two more firmware updates have since been released. The ATAK-Forwarder developer has done a phenomenal job keeping up with the updates and improving compatibility with ATAK as time goes on. The device is becoming less frustrating over time, but I would probably go for the T-Echo next time. It, too, has been receiving updates, is packaged more sensibly, and has been seeing improvements in ATAK compatibility. It is still considered junk when compared to the professional mil stuff, but it is something that could keep you and your family or buddies connected even without cellular or WiFi connectivity.

One of the GPS antenna parts was broken
One of the GPS antenna IPX ....tiny coax was bent up and must of had a bad connection. I ordered two ... I swapped the antennas and one worked fine... the other doesn't. As I said I ordered two ttgo's, one came in a little plastic box ... and the other came in a plastic bag.... not sure ... maybe were getting someones projects or what but ... hmm im a little confused. ya know. its the internet we live in now though.

the replacement even dropped dead
I had returned one of these because of some hardware fault, and the replacement died and cannot even be reflashed just days after return window closed. So aggravated with these products.

Broken
Showed up in a much larger box than the small anti static bag it is sold in. Bouncing around in the box, it had soldered pieces that were broken off. Box looked perfectly fine outside but the components were damaged from rattling around inside. Had to request a replacement.
