Holds up a monitor.
I have a nice inexpensive monitor with a broken stand. This stand replaces it just right. It is sturdy and very easy to use. Worth the price definitely.

With Cooling Effect Fan Comes on Less Often
Smaller than I expected but size doesn't affect functionality. I am interested in the cooling effect. I use it flat with no incline. I now hear the fan coming on less often.

Cheap and effective for most laptops up to 15.6"
BOTTOM LINE: These work as well as a much more expensive stand provided by my wife's office. That more-expensive stand is obviously stronger and slicker in design, but this Halter Mesh stand does the job just as well for less than half the price. We bought two for our kids' laptops. They work great for 14" laptops and 15.6" school/work laptops, but couldn't handle the size or mass of a 17.3" gaming laptop. The adjustment slots work like those on an adjustable roasting rack. They'd be more secure if they were deeper or angled to be more vertical in use, but they hold OK as long as the whole thing doesn't get knocked into. Actually, even in our busy house, on a crowded dining table, they've never collapsed in use. TIP: as you place your laptop on the stand, make sure the support bar is slotted all the way into the slots on both sides. Some reviews complain about the lip not being big enough or sticky enough or sturdy enough. We found the lip to be *just* up to the job with everything but the largest (17"+) laptop. They've held up to daily use by two teenagers, so the quality of materials, design, and build is fine. And, they fold down quite flat and fit into the accessory pocket of a laptop case. You will need an accessory mouse and keyboard, because raising the laptop screen high enough to be near eye-level makes the laptop's keyboard and trackpad unusable. If you want to improve the ergonomics of using a laptop, this is a good-enough solution at a reasonable price.

Madly Designed Support Tounge
It seems good apart from the little lip/tongue at the bottom that keeps the laptop from sliding off. It sticks out quite high, much above the laptop so there's this giant metal edge sticking up so it's hard to put your wrists in some positions, like using the trackpad. Also one level of tilt lower than the lowest would be nice.

solid, sturdy, fold away
got these for kids headed to college. solid and sturdy for laptops or heavy books on the desk. folds away easily when desk space is needed for other things. efficient and durable design, easy to adjust. could easily hold a smaller book and phone , or tablet by itself. highly recommended for the scholar in your life!

I love this stand, and I don't usually "love" any item.
It's smaller than I thought, but regardless, it holds my 15" laptop just fine and steady. It seems well built, very portable and it doesn't move on my desk, even when I am typing. I'm confident my laptop is safe on it and it will not fall. I've even shook my desk vigorously to test it, and it came through with flying colors. It makes working on my laptop a pleasure again because the screen is now set to my eye level. Since I am not a perfect typist, I often have to look down then back up at my screen when I type. With this stand, I don't have to keep cranking my neck, looking up and down as I type. This stand makes it so my head stays steady and I can see the keyboard clearly as I type. A bonus is that it's also much easier on the wrists when I type. I am not a huge "gamer", but I do play one game for usually about 10 minutes a day just to relax. It's a free, online WW2 flight simulator called "War Thunder". There are many keyboard controls in this game, and I don't know how I was ever playing it before without using this stand. This is something I will use for the rest of my life. I don't usually rate things as "I Love it" when I write a review; If it's shipped on-time and it works, I rate it 4 stars because it is "good". But I love this stand and this is something I will use for the rest of my life. I highly recommend this item and recommend using a laptop stand in general.
