Interesting. a little dark, a little colorful, complex!
This book was very interesting. The plot is quite complex. Amanda Uhl has created a unique world where a group of humans with advanced mental abilities are part of a unique law enforcement agency. Their abilities vary and can even straddle the line between light and dark.Rolf has two secrets. One is his love for Geneva and the other is the mysterious darkness within him. The CMU pairs Geneva and Rolf together to find his missing sister and her CMU partner but the mission is dangerous. Someone is apparently after Geneva and it will take everything the two have to give, including their love and freedom, to defeat their enemies. The plot is slightly confusing in places. It is suspenseful and full of angst. But the story itself is very different from the usual paranormal romance adventures. The characters are challenged to the edge of their goodness and the win is that much sweeter for it. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. It promises to be just as interesting. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Detectives with gifts hunt for missing gifted
I really enjoyed this book about two gifted detectives trying to hunt for two kidnapped gifted operatives. It's a thrilling, romantic, mysterious tale of murder, kidnap and mind control. In this world there are those with gifts that can control others, hunt others, destroy others and save others. There are those that can control through illusions and dreams. And there are those that try to stop them and save the innocent. A truly enjoyable, absorbing tale that I read within 48 hours as I struggled to put it down.I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.

What a wild ride
OMG, what a ride. This is my second foray into the world of mind hackers and it was as good as the first book. This book is fast paced, exciting and totally frustrating. I loved the interaction between Rolf and Geneva, and I wanted to slap her brothers repeatedly around the head. Don’t you just hate guys who always assume that they know whats best for you. Rolf and Geneva are both really powerful in their own right but together they’re off the chart. I freaking loved reading this book and I can’t wait for the next instalment. I received this book from BookSirens. I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Exciting but a little confusing
This was an exciting and fast-paced story, set in a world where the CMU employs all kinds of psychic specialists to protect people. Geneva is one of their most powerful employees, but when she is teamed up with Rolf is her power going to be too much for him to manage? Of is it possible that the secret he is keeping could either save or doom them both?I loved the characters, but just found the storyline a little confusing and difficult to follow, hence the four stars.

I couldn’t put it down!
Wow! That was what I thought as I finished this book. This brilliant book drew me in from the start and I loved being kept off balance with twists in plot, landscape and action. The story is action packed and maintains a fast pace throughout, there never seemed a good place to just pause and come back to it, because I was so captivated I didn’t want to stop reading. I’m looking forward to more from this series.

Mind Hackers
This was an enjoyable paranormal read for me. I love the dynamics between Geneva and Rolf. They both have secrets but must come together to find his sister who is also gifted. They found out that someone has a diabolical plot to trap their power in crystals. I give this a 4 1/4. Unable to do one fourth. To each his own as far as this book is concerned, but for me I am glad that I purchased it.

Interesting read
I absolutely loved the first book in the series Cross Waves is no different.Imagine control people can have with special powers.Imagine the government using these people for the good. Most of the time.Imagine someone gaining control of some of these people for nefarious doings.Yep. That happens. It's interesting. It's romantic. It's mysterious. It's fantasy. It's scary. It's just about believable. It's a recommended read.

Different Premise with Lots of Excitement
I loved the premise of this book where emotions display as colors for those who can see them, which makes it hard to hide much and really fun when there's a romance involved. The amazing abilities are different for individuals and I found it fascinating how they worked. Geneva is forced to work with Rolf, whom she secretly is attracted to, but since her abilities are unstable, she's afraid to work around anyone she cares for. But finding Rolf's sister, her friend, is more important. The action is non-stop and the identify of the big bad takes some time to figure out. I can't wait to read the follow-on book with Caleb and Julia. I really found their dynamic fascinating.

Thrilling, intriguing paranormal romance in the mind hackers realm
I found myself talking to the characters like I was in the book with them. Well, they were communicating telepathically. Why not? Right? I was yelling for Rolf to go help Geneva or vice versa. This was a thrilling paranormal romance of supposed enemies. Both Geneva and Rolf are very gifted beyond what their average kind are. Rolf has a big secret that makes him feel the need to keep her far away from him. Will they ever be able to let the other know their true feelings? With their new assignment together, Geneva being his Trainer and Rolf being the Hacker, we’re in for a unique ride with intrigue, abduction, escape and lots of paranormal shenanigans! After having read MIND WAVES, I knew I needed to read CROSS WAVES. I’m hoping the next book will be about Caleb and Julia (please, please, please). And I definitely want to know more about Nonna. If you like non-shifter paranormal romance, please consider this book. It was truly thrilling. I stopped everything to finish it this evening. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through BookSirens and it gets 5+ stars.

Worth the wait!!
Cross Waves is the second book in the the Mind Hackers series. It may have taken four years to get here but it was SO worth the wait. From the very beginning this book will draw you in and keep you pulled in. Rolf and Geneva are introduced in the first book Mind Waves. They each have abilities that compliment the other and that can have deadly consequences if used wrong. While each story is a stand alone, reading the first isn’t a necessary although I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want to to get further insight into the CMU and all the members. The story involves the Cognitive Mind Unit which includes people with all kinds of mental gifts. Geneva and Rolf are paired to work together even though there is much dislike between them or is there... their chemistry is more than obvious and fun to read. Each has their own secrets they keep and still must find a way to get the job done. This story is fast paced and had twists I never saw coming. It took me a day to read this as I couldn’t put it down because I wanted to see where it went next. Great job Amanda and I cannot wait until Dream Waves comes out!!!!
