Yum. I use this product for salad dressing and marinades all the time. I love it! Arrived quickly, in good shape. And it lasts forever! Deep umami taste that's rich and pleasing.

Good mix of flavors
It doesn’t come refrigerated which might concern some people. Well, miso is fermented, so it’s fine. Also, some things just need to be refrigerated after opening and this miso has a very good seal on it.I used it for miso soup, but also for chicken katsu. It adds a nice flavor! You just spread it on the raw chicken.I’m more of a fan of white miso, but this mixes the two and it’s wonderful.

Great for soups and making a variety of dishes.
Purchased to make miso soup, but used also for a nice asian style soup with cabbage, sliced salmon, herbs, celery, carrot strips and potatoes.

Great Product
I love it. It is difficult not to like anything from Japan. They take pride in their product/work. They came well-packaged. No leaking, as I've read in some reviews. The expiration date of 11/25/25 will probably get a non Asian all bent over with disappointment. Fermented food just about lasts forever, refrigerated or not. My grandmother used to salt meat and hang them in hooks attached to the rafters of her house. They had fermented taste when cooked None of us got sick from eating them. My grandparents lived over 100 years old. When my mother bought them a refrigerator so they could refrigerate their meat "so it won't spoil/ferment" my grandmother used the refrigerator as a cabinet for her crocheted items. The meat continued to hang in the rafters. The "germ theory" is another long story. Note it is a "theory".

Your New Kitchen Secret
This Miko - Awase Miso Soyabean Paste makes awesome Miso and other Asian soups, quickly turning cheap ingredients into a memorable dish. I also like adding this to ramen, and mixing a bit of this Miso paste into simple chicken gravy is amazing and will pay huge dividends on the faces of your guests. I'm delighted with this.
