Effective cold therapy, simple to use at home or at shows.
At home I keep these boots in the barn freezer, but at a recent show I used an ice chest. Next time at a show I will not use ice alone, but soak the boot in ice WATER, because the ice stuck to the neoprene outer material. I think that the cold and wet therapy will work even better to get the legs cold. I like that the boot can fasten tight with velcro for compression, as well as to help it stay in position on my horse's legs. When I made the purchase I was glad there was a return period, but I won't be returning this product because I Like these boots.

SECOND SET -- EXCELLENT RESULTS
Easy to use, instant relief, durable product. I store mine in deep freeze. Horse tolerates them nicely. Bought the first set about 4 years ago and they have been well-used to the point that one of the gel cells is leaking a little bit. Bought the second set as a back up in case of urgent need like we had before when her suspensory ligament was inflamed. BONUS? I also used these on my own knee when I snapped my ACL last year. The large coverage area, flexible design & velcro distribution makes these more useful than most human grade gel packs.

Good boots - they stay cold and are fairly hardy
Got these boots to help my horse after she started stalking up and to help with minor inflammation. I use them almost everyday after I ride. The boots stay cold for a long time, even when left out; if you don't have access to a freezer at your barn I'd definitely recommend these. They do a nice job of icing the legs; once my horse had a little frost on her feathering after wearing these. If your horse has thin hair/sensitive skin you'll want to keep a close eye on them when they're wearing these boots in case of ice burns; the fabric does a nice job of protecting the leg but it still gets very cold. The velcro holds well. One day my horse accidentally stepped on them and I was worried that the gel packets would burst - but they were just fine. So if you have a horse that can be rough on boots this is a decent product to try. Also, they come with a drawstring bag and it's very handy for storage and traveling.I only have three minor complaints: first, they're a little bit cumbersome to get on (I usually secure the bottom strap first, then do the top two, then redo the bottom one so it's tighter) however this could be a problem you'd face with any ice boot. Second, despite the hardiness of the boot itself, one of the velcro straps on mine is tearing a bit where it's sewn into the boot. It still works for now, but I'll likely need to sew it back together at some point. Third, it can be difficult to get an even icing on the leg because of the way the gel packets are arranged in the boot. For my purposes this doesn't seem to affect anything much, but if you had a specific area on the leg that you were targeting it might be an issue. I've found that hosing the leg very briefly (essentially just getting it wet) and then putting the ice boots on seems to help get the leg colder faster and more evenly.Overall, I would buy them again. They're a bit pricey but I suspect that they'll last for awhile; even with daily use they've held up decently. So if you need a hardy, basic ice boot that you'll get some use out of, I'd definitely recommend these boots.

Awesome product!
I have been using these boots on my horse daily for a couple of months now, and this is an awesome product! Nicely packaged, same quality material as the Professional Choice Sport Boots. Comes with a mesh bag that you can store the wraps in the freezer in. The design is extremely easy to use, the Velcro a good length that doesn't get tangled when trying to apply. They go on like a medicine boot. The boot cools well, and the gel material stays soft. Excellent product!

GREAT ICE BOOTS!
I love these ice boots for large, draft, and even standard size horses. Like the Professional's Choice SMB's, these ice boots are completely adherent to the velcro, so completely adjustable to any size (so long as the horse is over 15.2, I'd say. I really like that they are so tall, because they cover from hock to the top of coronet to really ice not only the tendons but the pasterns and high tendon as well! Great product! Just ordered another pair!

Made very well but NOT a good ice boot!
These ice boots are very high quality as is usual of Professional Choice's products. However, they did NOT ice my horses leg well...there were hot and cold spots and had they melted within a very short time, and that was with wetting my horses leg first. I believe they would work much better if they had solid and removable ice pack inserts. I also feel they would work better for long-legged horses like Thoroughbreds rather than short stock horses with short cannon bones. I really wish I had spent the little extra money to buy the better known ice boots.

Awesome Concept, Fall Apart Quick
These are really easy to use and the gel packs stay cool for a long time but the stitching around the gel packs is tearing only after a few uses. I tie my horse up and she stands in her stall for about 15 minutes with these on while she eats. The idea of these is spot on but the quality is lacking. I luckily have an industrial sewing machine at home and can fix them up quick but wishing they’d lasted longer before needing repairs.

They flat out dont work good.
Top velcro ripped off on the third try.first time trying them left them on for 20 minutes when I unwrapped them the leg was warm.the 2nd timeI left on for 45 minutes and still same result , the wraps for some reason dont transfer the cold.On the 3rd try I had not even taken the horse out and the wraps once again did NOT transfer the cold to the leg.
