All smokers need some sort of heat resistant gloves. These work great for that. You can't hold something super hot for a really long time, but that's not usually a problem for smoking. they are right or left handed, going either way. They go on easily enough. As for cleaning, i'll need to actually clean them one day, but I'm guessing you can throw them in the wash? not sure.

I bought these for handling the cast iron pan while camping and cooking over a fire. They work exactly as intended. My husband was finding extra ways of using them such as stiring the food over the fire with a small spoon instead of the long spatula cause he likes them so much. Secure grip, protects hands from heat, fit well.

These BBQ Gloves are extremely heavy duty for cleaning my Blackstone griddle. I would definitely recommend them since I've tried others and burnt my hand on the other kind. These are very heat resistant, I was totally impressed on the first try. I would get a pair if you cook on your griddle like I do which is about 3-4 times a week. They are awesome when I have to clean and prep the griddle after cooking on it!!!

Great comfy gloves that allow me to touch the grill grates at 450° for maybe 15 seconds tops. Better than using my bare hands.

Only use them for my smoker and use them to hold the pan used to put more hot coals in the smoker. After a quick rinse, great for getting the smoked Butt off the smoker. Dick

Great for handling hot items. I use them with my KJ smoker. No need to wash so I’m not sure about that. Could fit a little better, but there made for everyone.

I have close to 10 pairs of oven gloves - trying to protect myself from the 500ºF oven heated cast iron dutch oven lid and base. The heading and an endorsement on YOUTube tricked me into purchasing this - in hope of finding "the pair" that would work. NOTI understand that 600º or so is really hot - but nowhere near the heat level claimed in this heading.Bottom line - they are not so special.

Very happy to have these gloves arrive promptly. Great for managing very hot dutch ovens for my home sourdough baking. Much better control than an oven mitt!
