Bought this for our Cocker Spaniel and Pomchi to use for our car journey for our hols. But our Cocker Spaniel loves it so much that it is now a permanent fixture next to the Pomchi's metal crate. Very pleased with it. Arrived sooner than expected and a minute to assemble.

The size is great to fit in a small car and JR pup. It is the only crate I found to fit on the back seat of an A3 cabriolet with the wind deflector in. It sits nicely under the deflector with mm to spare. The structure and canvas is really sturdy and easy to put together.Unfortunately on my one, the mesh sags and bags at the corners of the large opening - encouraging small noses to explore. If it had been tight there would not be an issue. The other things is the mesh and zips are stuck to the inside of the crate, with 1cm of loose flapping (and exciting) trim to play with.I would say the "accessory bags" are a complete waste of time - it would have been better to have spent the money on the better quality mesh and in manufacture and ditch the bags.In my opinion this crate is not great for chewing pups but would be perfect for an older dog, or a pup that is better behaved than mine.UPDATE: Songmics customer services stepped in and quickly and effectively sorted this out. Although my cage was less than satisfactory, the customer service is second to none and I would in fact buy from them again, because if there is an issue I am confident it will be sorted.

We bought this to take our patterdale terrier in the car to France. To fit on the back seat of a BMW convertible with the wind break. Dog loves it! He managed to nose nudge the zip open and get out once. At that point we discovered there was a fastener on the top right which we could clip in both zips. Our dog is crate trained which is important for any fabric crate. We took a metal crate for hotel room... more space (given we bought a smaller crate from recommended size - he could stand, turn and stretch out) and solid for leaving him on his own. Looks smart and same colour as photo (ref an earlier review I read before purchase) as the photo... perhaps a slightly warmer sand colour.

I am very disappointed with the durability of this item.My puppy has already bitten through the rather fragile mesh opening and the flimsy zip has broken.Please let me know what I should do now since it is no longer safe to use.I would be grateful of a response and would like to request a refund.This product has only been used for less than a month.After reporting this, Songmics have responsibly refunded the full amount for the carrier and have said they are in the process of improving the item with regard to durability and safety. They were swift to refund for the carrier and I have thanked them for this .Date: 10 11 17.

Extremely well made, simple to construct, very sturdy, cat loves it, sleeps in it. I chose a size to give lots of room for a big cat and it is very generous especially in height so cat doesn't feel constrained. No hesitation in recommending and would buy again though I think it will last for a long time

Pleased to say I am delighted with this carrier. It is solid in construction, and looks heavier than it actually is. The assembly is a single step that takes some 10 seconds. A lot of thought has gone into the design:-- lightweight metal tube framing (no plastic), and no sharp edges found.-Sturdy loops for car seat belt anchoring- 3 points of entry - side, front and top c/w velcro tabs to hold accesses open and metal clasps to hold sturdy zips shut. The mesh screens are tough and should stand up to most clawing attempts.- sand coloured material is tough and good looking as are the carry handles- 2 storage bags in matching material one fixed to the top, the other, detachable, in clips on the back panel.A faux sheepskin snuggle mat is included.I bought this item for a puppy through to adult dog travelling in the car. Overall the carrier is good quality and looks it!Disadvantage? No none - but I may fit a thin plywood or hardboard base later as the dogs weight increases (strong hint to manufacturer!)Yes it is expensive but does represent good quality.

I brought this to take my cat to the vet as I cannot get her into the usual cat carrier without a lot of trauma for both me and the cat, not to mention painful scratched hands/arms! I just popped her in with no fuss whatsoever and the vet visit went smoothly without a hitch. I know these are probably more for dogs than for cats but if your cat hates going in the small cat carriers most people use, these are well worth the money to save yourself and your cat lots of stress. Also they are much easier to store as the bars collapse and they can be stored flat, taking up much less room.

Bought this for the back seat of our car to transport our terrier mix. She’s about the size of a smallish Jack Russel. Really impressed by the quality and how sturdy the box is, although unless you’re really tall with long arms I wouldn’t try carrying it around with a pup inside, despite the handles anything this size is going to be a bit cumbersome.We followed the suggested size and ordered the 60cm length. Should have paid more attention in school as it’s actually huge, takes up the majority of a back seat in a Ford Kuga (quite a big car!) and our pup is a bit lost in it. My suggestion for anyone buying this is to not be dumb like me and take a tape measure out before buying it as opposed to assuming the sizing table is accurate.Can’t fault the quality, delivery time or the look of the item though. Definitely looks like it costs a lot more and the little bag and pocket to store bowls, food, bags etc is genius!Will be buying the 50cm length one and donating this to my dad who has a much bigger pup.
