This little carousel is so cute! The only thing is, I wish there was an option to mute the music at times while it’s spinning around. lol Once you turn it on, the music plays non-stop, and it’s kind of loud. But well worth the money. This was a gift for my Mom. She adores it.

What started several years ago as a whim to buy one of those Christmas Village buildings, which we did because it was on a deep discount after the holidays, has become an annual tradition to the point that we have run out of room to display them all. But we still do. It’s a full day’s project to set them all up each year and we tend to go overboard with all of the little details that make the whole thing into our little town. We still buy them on impulse, not because any particular one is featured but because we think its cute. And that describes this one and the reason I wanted it as soon as I saw it.WHAT YOU GETBefore reading any further please look at the product description very carefully and realize that this is not on the same scale as the usual village houses. It is very clearly described as being just under six inches. It is nicely detailed considering that it is typically on sale for thirteen bucks. The figurines look hand painted and if they were I wouldn’t be surprised.ROTATES BUT NOT MOVE UP AND DOWNThe item uses 3 AAA batteries which power some small LED lights built in to the platform and also a motor that rotates the carousel very slowly. I saw another sample of the same thing that looks like the horses are on too much caffeine, different ones probably operate slightly differentlyThe seller claims that the figurines and horses move up and down, that is not correct, they don’t. But what is unexpected is that the LED bulbs don’t just light up but they each change color independently for a very festive look. Unlike so many similar cheap items the motor on this one is nearly silent, which is appreciated when you are trying to quietly sip some eggnog on a cold holiday evening.Overall this looks better than expected and works especially well when added to a fully decorated Christmas scene.

Description said ferris wheel and carousel...didnt receive a carousel, the sticker on the ferris wheel is bubbly. Definitely not worth the money for only one. 😮‍💨
