Got otoplasty and would have to sleep on my back for at least a couple months. Since I'm a side sleeper I was very pleased to find this pillow. As others have mentioned, it is smaller than a standard pillow, but that's not an issue. I place it on top of a regular pillow. It works fine in keeping pressure off my sore ears until they fully heal. I did have to remove the pillow case because there is a seam around the hole that was a bit uncomfortable.

I needed a pillow with a hole in it so I can sleep on my side comfortably with my Bose Sleep Buds. I purchased another pillow on Amazon for double the price and found that I could not get too comfortable as the ear hole was too small and the pillow was stand alone. This pillow is not big at all and needs to be used as a second pillow. So place it on your favorite pillow and the you now have enough space for your ear. Works great just set expectations this is too small to use by itself. But if you have a need for a hole for your ear this works best.

My ear is super sore from a recent biopsy. I bought this thinking that it would help me sleep on that side. The pillow is way too flat & there's zero support. Most importantly was the fact that my ear wouldn't quite reach the hole all the way. The hole also seemed too small to allow any movement. No matter what I did, I just couldn't get it to work for me at all.

The pillow is soft and comfortable but the hole for the ear is too far up on the pillow.

I am on a quest to find the perfect pillow that supports my neck, relieves pressure on my ear and gives enough support to get a good night's sleep without waking up with a creaking neck. This one is great for ear pressure. The four stars are for that feature alone. As for the rest, well, first of all, I had a great belly laugh when I took it out of it's tiny bag and unrolled this absolutely paper-thin piece of plastic. I thought there was just a pillow-shaped picture printed on the plastic, but no, it was just vacuum packed and when I cut open the plastic envelope, the pillow emerged like one of those bath toys the kids have that grows when they get them wet. When I tried it out, I thought it wasn't going to work at all for me. It's too flat and provided no neck support. However, when I tried it on top of a regular pillow, it was perfect for giving my ear the open space it needs to let me sleep without waking up to a throbbing ear pain. So, it's a keeper. Still not the champion perfect pillow, but it will do until I find the best pillow ever.

I have several brands of pillows for CNH.This is the best. It is soft and adjustable, but supports the head. It is larger than most, but I still use it on top of my regular pillow.

I purchased this pillow upon the recommendation of my dermatologist, for an ear sore which would not heal. I have now used it for about three weeks, and the ear is still sore, and scabbed. Therefore, I do not know what effect the pillow was supposed to have---obviously, isn't working for me!

After suffering for months with ear pain (a condition called CNH where cartilage is inflamed), I purchased 5 different pillows with a "hole" to get relief by "suspending" sore ear during the night. The only one that worked was PWAH. (Others were too thick or too thin (with no way to adjust fill), smelly, uncomfortable.) The PWAH pillow has allowed my ears to "calm down" considerably, and I am back to a good night's sleep. PWAH is comfortable, doesn't get warm during the night, is easy to care for, sized just right for travel, has easy-to-adjust fill, and was an easy transition from my cushy down pillow (that part surprised me the most). You can try to design your own DIY pillow with a hole (good luck with that!) like I did, but life is short so consider getting the real deal: Pillow With a Hole.
