I wound up buying multiple sets of these since I decided to replace the baseboard doorstops with hinge doorstops while replacing all the hinges on my doors. Easy to install and look great, decent price.

I bought a bunch of this style door stop at my old house for doors that could not use the springy door stops favored by pets, toddlers, and me. I threw away a bunch of these that I did not need because I thought, why would I ever need more of them? A few years later I find myself in a new home with closet doors that open outward. It turns out night stands were in the path of these closet doors if opened too far. I did not want to rearrange the rooms in ways that did not make sense or throw out two night stands. And instead of relying on my daughter and guests to not smash holes in the doors, I chose to buy more of these door stops. These types of door stops do not feel as sturdy as springy door stops, but they work in situations where springy door stops do not. I also bought clear corner protectors as an extra precaution. So far, the closet doors have no holes. When a springy doorstop is not practical, give these a try.
