Best office purchase
This coffee warmer is one of the best purchases I have ever made for my office desk. I bought this in October of 2021 and it still works perfectly. I can use any of my ceramic or glass mugs and it will keep my coffee/tea hot. There is no temperature control or automatic timer. Once you have placed it on the warmer it will warm until you take off. If you forget, the liquid will be hot and could potentially burn. I have on occasion kept the mug on for longer periods of time than intended and the liquid was too hot to drink but that is on me not the warmer because I am aware of this feature. In these instances, the mug itself will be hot to the touch, especially the bottom, but it has never had an effect on the mug handle. I will let it sit off the warmer for a minute or two and it will naturally cool to drink. This doesn’t happen often with me because I am a big coffee drinker and usually drink through my 1st and 2nd cups decently fast.I have used this as a candle warmer once or twice and it also works nicely. This is usually when a candle has burned down to the end and there is lots of wax sitting at the bottom. I will put the ceramic or glass candle jar on the warmer and I get to enjoy my favorite scents a little longer. The warmer is pressure sensitive and only is On when it has an item sitting on it. There is a colored ring that will turn on to notify me the warmer is active. Once the mug or jar had been removed it automatically turns off and so does the colored ring. In the couple years that I have had this item, it has only been stuck in the On position maybe twice. When this happened, I just placed my mug down on it again and took it off to reset. It is a device that must be plugged in, which I prefer over having to use and waste batteries.I have never run into the warming plate being hot for too long after I have removed my mug but, then again, I don’t actively go to touch the plate. The only time I touch the warmer is when I need to bring it closer within reach or move it back out of the way. But I am touching the side not the plate. When it is being activated it is a gradual heat, so if someone were to accidentally or even purposefully touch the plate before use, it would not burn. Still, keep out of reach of small children and use safe practices when handling, especially during and after use.I am grateful for this warmer every work day and miss it on the weekends when I am having coffee in bed and the liquid begins to cool. I would buy again and maybe even buy another so I can fix the weekend problem.

Works great!
I love this warmer! It keeps my coffee or tea very warm. I really like that it turns off when you lift your cup. No need to worry about forgetting to turn it off. It has gotten stuck “on” a couple times but I think it’s because it got sticky. Once I wiped it clean and tapped it upside down a couple times it got unstuck and turned off.

Love it! 💕
I love a big mug of coffee and tea, and I found a 30 ounce mug and it fits very well on this mug warmer. I heat my water in microwave and let my tea steep for 5 minutes while on burner and first sips are perfect for me. I have found that if I cover my cup (using a coaster that fits) it keeps my beverage Much hotter for longer, as I keep my home cooler even in winter and that also plays a part in my drink’s cooling faster. As I’m enjoying my coffee/ tea it’s staying hot till the end, even if it sits and I have to go do something. This warmer is weight activated: once plugged in, a button on the bottom preps the unit for duty but surface does Not heat up until you place your mug on it. The weight of mug turns on indicating purple ring, indicating the surface is heating/ hot. I don’t know the actual temperatures of my beverage or the surface after prolonged use, but the surface gets hot enough that I couldn’t touch for more than 3 seconds. Be mindful of this when done using or walking away with your mug. Surface can be hot without purple ring indicator lit. I live alone so not an issue. Maybe put something on top (coaster?) until completely cooled.

A comparison of warmers.
The media could not be loaded. My sister gave me a Mr. Coffee mug warmer like 3 years ago and it's been awesome. The only problem with that one is the edges. Yeah, they are nice if you are in a precarious position and you want to mitigate the risk of pushing the cup OFF the mug warmer. Very important. And yet, the edges limit you to mugs of certain sizes and shapes.I got a Cosori mug warmer about 2 years ago and have used that at my work. It fits the larger mug on it, so I can keep my tea warm... all day. And it gets warm enough (if set to about 212) it will actually warm up your liquid. I can also set my little glass pot of tea on the burner and it keeps it warm very well. With this Dimux warmer, I was looking for something a little more like the Cosori (flatter so I can use with my big mug and little pots) but I didn't need the complexity of the temperature setting. I was also interested in the 'gravity' function (how it turns off if you remove the mug). This is great because sometimes I grab my mug, then nurse it slowly in my hands... or leave it on the desk in front of me... and the burner is being useless (and dangerous) at that point. With other burners, I find it prudent to plug them into a timed outlet, so even if you someday accidentally leave it on, it will turn off at a certain time. This one doesn't have that need—as long as you aren't using it as a cup holder / space to store your mug. Then yeah, you'll want to plug it into a timer outlet just in case. (Which I ended up doing, with a smart switch. The warmer has a standard 2-prong plug.)I haven't tested the auto-off and I don't know how hot this thing gets (it does get HOT). All I know is that it's working great for me. I only wish it had a switch to turn it off so I could place my empty pot on top of it. It doesn't go on for an empty mug (unless you press it) but it does for my empty pot. (Thus the need for the smart switch.)In the end, I like this warmer. It's a bit large for my little side table there, but would work very well for a desktop or counter top. It's handy that it turns off when the cup is not on it.
