Works really well on fish up to about 18lbs but only after I packed the inside with sand for additional weight

I saw the product shot and liked this right away. I should have looked closer at the size! It measures in total only 9.5 inches long – smallest fish bat I’ve ever had. That said, it is beautifully made. As they tell you, it’s for small fish. I’d recommend it for things like perch and sunfish or bluegills, but nothing bigger.On the plus side, this is small enough to fit into many a tackle box.

Bought this for an Alaska fishing trip. After using it on a silver salmon I noticed the bat was bent and did not hold up. I would not recommend this product.

I can see why some people would say it's like a toy. I thought it would be thicker and be the same width as a normal baseball bat but shorter. Instead it's like a shrunk down baseball bat in all dimensions. Despite its miniature stature, it is quite sturdy and well made. Very hard and somewhat hefty so it can ping some fish. Not very big fish mind you but most anything below 20lbs would succumb to the preaching of this priest. I actually quite like it for my kayak fishing as it's compact.

It's not big, but will be great for smaller to medium fish vs using a rock. the end screws off, to add extra weight. i like the bright color, i won't lose it like everything else along the river
