The consistency of the product was in runny liquid form. Unusable and I spilled it all in my bath when I was using it.

This product is for DETANGLING AND DEFINING THE HAIR BEFORE SHAMPOOING NOT MOISTURE. As a Jamaican/American someone who has used Aloe in my hair for years for hair growth, slip and moisture I can actually say that this is an amazing product. It has almost the same consistency as Aloe. Although it provides some great slip it is not as slippery and slimy as the Aloe leaf. Nonetheless, it still detangles and defines WITH PRODUCT BUILD UP ON YOUR STRANDS. I was so excited to come across this product because the only reason I needed a factory produced version of aloe is because I knew I would be able to get the same affect without the flakes and chunks that the Aloe leaf can sometimes leave in your hair for you to pick out for days after styling. That’s annoying This product flakes on the hands if you let it dry but does not do that in my hair. No need to let it sit. Just drench hair in warm water, apply in small enough sections to detangle and define, rinse and then proceed with Shampoo. Because it DOES NOT have the same slip as the leaf I like to follow up with a cheap conditioner and a thick and heavy duty oil (if you have type 4 hair like me) right after application in each section because it provides some extra support and moisture when going in with that (oftentimes stripping) shampoo. This product is for detangling and defining your hair BEFORE shampooing NOT MOISTURE. If you feel a lack of slip you probably have too much previous product build up even after rinsing with warm water. It’ll still work though.

I was skeptical about its potential to detangle since my hair couldn’t do so with any amount of conditioning and water. But this actually worked. I was able to get knots out of my hair and wash it properly. Love love love!

I’ve tried many products on my 4b/4c hair over the years. Some products have failed to meet my expectations and others have done the job it was described to do. After removing a braided style which left my hair dry, brittle and tangled, Dr. Miracle’s Pre-Shampoo allowed me to finger detangle my hair with ease and returned the luster and hydration my hair desperately needed.
