Excellent network cable troubleshooting device
Don't be fooled by the cheap look of this device, it is so much better than the cheaper kind with flashing LEDs. This one gives clear information about the problem wires, the distance to the fault makes trouble-shooting trivial, and the beeping remote ID is really useful for identifying the correct cable.

Less money good service
Why do people always pay too much money for good service while you can also pay less for the same service. Easy to use and value for money.

You can measure length of the cat5 cable
Very useful. Has buzzer to ensure you are connected to correct able in a bundleGive lenth of each core. If you have a break it can tell you how far it is down and which core it is. Extremely useful in structured wiring in building.

Very good for the price
Works well and very simple to use - immediately identified a broken wire at the near end, and a disconnected wire at the far end - strangely once I fixed the near end the tester reported the cable was fine. The tester will detect shorts, crossovers and open circuits and indicates these clearly on the display. My tester arrived with a long black hair under the screen and something that looked like a small leaf - obviously doesn't stop it working but not ideal and would have been five stars otherwise.

Great tester
Better than the testers (that just test basic continuity) that come with crimp tools

Don't be fooled by the low price - Great Product
This is a very good quality product. Do not let the low price fool you as it is not anything like the cheap testers with LEDS on that are about as useful as tossing a coin. It is reliable and it provides very useful information that helps with cable issues. I had a couple of cable issues which turned out to that a rat had chewed through an external cable severing some of the wires so it was working but degraded and the other issue where I had accidentally wired up a CAT5e run with 1 faceplate end using A and the other B (making a crossover). This excellent tool helped track down the problems.

Excellent network cable tester for the money
Works really well for the money - Mine Arrived in great condition unlike a few other reviews i've seen.Correctly identifies the cut cable. The feature that reports cable length is surprisingly accurate, although note that if the cable is twisted and bent it will thow the readings off slightly. Really happy with my purchase.Overall i'd highly recommend this product. The only change i'd make is that it would be nice for the remote part to clip or store in the main unit somehow, but its a small gripe, and for the money I cant complain.
