Works with Windows 11
Very pleased with this card. I need to attach my camcorder to my PC for video conversion/editing jobs; I took the old card from my existing PC to put in my new Windows 11 machine, but had issues with drivers for it. Put this one in and no problems whatsoever, Windows 11 found it and it works fine, it was literally "plug and play".

Works with Windows 11.
Easy to install in a Dell PC. Needed for FireWire transfer from DV camcorder. Note , if you are using Adobe Premiere Elements, you will need an earlier version - I re-Installed 2018 - for full function.

No good for Linux
Causes a kernel panic under Linux. I suspect this is because of the VIA chipset. I ended up with a TI chipset card - more expensive but worked

Great value
Works well, although the included FireWire cable did not seem to work at all with my old camcorder. My old cable worked, although did occasionally disconnect so it could have been a glitchy port on the camcorder. Overall very happy - got the job done.

Make sure it fits first
One problem which was not seen when buying it - it's too big for my PC so it's of no use at all. I'll keep it in my box of bits in case I buy a new PC which it will fit!

Ho ordinato questo prodotto due volte, la prima volta al posto della scheda mi è arrivata una confezione di siringhe per errore ed ho fatto il reso. La seconda volta è arrivata la scheda con confezione e imballo originale integri, installata su PC con Windows 10, riconosciuta subito ed ho incominciato a salvare video vecchi di 20 anni con un ottimo risultato. Sono molto contento di questo e la consiglio. La mia esperienza è positiva

Great card to import old video's
This was really what I needed to make sure I can get all the Video's from my old Sony Digital 8 camera on my desktop. Just putting this card in a PCIe slot and just plug-and-play in Windows 11 (no extra software required) to capture all the video's in avi files.

Fonctionne bien
Installation simple, je n’ai pas eu à lutter pour installer la carte. Le PC a eu du mal à redémarrer au premier allumage mais ensuite RAS et tout fonctionne bien, le périphérique est à jour et bien reconnu par la machine. Installé sur un Hp Pavilion tournant sur Windows 10 (initialement Win 8).Bon produit pour les acquisitions mini DV je recommande !
