Mega Bloks TMNT Half-Shell Heroes Turtle Lair Battle Building Kit

This was a great gift for a four year old. There are some smaller parts but he could put most of it together himself. The instructions were full color (magazine style) and showed actual photos which made it easier for him and they will be something he can refer back to later. All of the parts are quality made. We have purchased several of these and this version has been the best.

My friend's son is obsessed with TNT! This is the third year in a row that I have purchased these block kits for him. As soon as he opens it at our yearly Christmas party he gets in the box and starts building. He is 8 years old and can figure out how to do most of it on his own.

Bought for my son for Christmas

Got this for my 4 year old nephew and he loved it!

Awesome Lego set!

My kids both love building sets; you throw in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and one wonders how you can go wrong. Unfortunately, there are lots of little problems with this set. For most pieces, the directions are pretty clear. But the problem is that not all of the pieces go together easily.With Daddy's help, my 5 year old was able to do it, but my 9 year old got bored and walked away from the set (and she's usually the one who loves to build). I think her frustration came in the fact that she can usually put together pretty complex sets on her own, and this set looks like it should have been easy, but she had to really exert some effort to get pieces to snap together. For her, it wasn't worth the time when she could build something else or go read instead.The piece comes with three characters, but only one turtle--Raphael. A mouser and a kraang are the other two.My 9 year old was also bothered by the excessive packaging. The pieces were split into at least 10 smaller plastic bags, and as we've found to be the case with other Mega Bloks sets, there's no rhyme or reason to how those pieces are divided.

Good price and came quicker than stated

This is a strange mix of younger (duplo sized) bloks and older (lego sized) bloks. I wasn't sure what to make of this, but I found I quite like it. My son does play with both sizes so it wasn't an issue for us. The pieces included with the set are great, my son loved them and it was very good value for money. Overall i'd recommend.
