I originally bought this silicone tubing after seeing that people use it as a way to join two pieces of 3D printing filament and it works perfectly for that purpose. The fit is snug and reliable making it easy to splice filament together without worrying about gaps or weak spots. What really impressed me is how well it holds up against heat. I tested it directly with a torch and while it definitely got very hot it never melted or deformed. That kind of durability is exactly what I was hoping for especially since I use it around equipment that naturally runs at higher temperatures. It gives me a lot of confidence knowing that the tubing will not suddenly fail in the middle of a project. The quality is excellent all around. The tubing came neatly rolled with no tangles or kinks which made it really easy to cut and use right out of the package. It feels like a true food grade high temperature silicone flexible but strong and without any weird chemical smell. For the price this is absolutely worth it. Whether you are using it for home brewing winemaking DIY projects or in my case 3D printing filament joins it is a versatile product that does exactly what it is supposed to. I am glad I picked this up and will be ordering more when I need it.

It was very difficult for me to put this tube on a fitting of a slightly larger diameter, but I admit that the tube is of very good quality and really resistant to temperature because I tried to heat it to put it on the fitting, but it withstands the temperature as stated, plus it is very durable, this is a fact, and at the same time it is flexible, which suits me very much. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase and recommend this tube, but the only drawback is that it is difficult to put it on the fitting.

This tubing was perfect for our pond, worked well for water flow, easy to trim and attach to features, flexible and did not kink when working with it. The price was very reasonable, less than other tubing reviewed and it come available in three sizes and lengths.

This tubing is likely great for its intended purpose, but it's only okay for use on carabiners to reduce wear. Yes, sections of this tubing can be slid onto carabiners and positioned at wear points to reduce metal on metal abrasion. Under body weight loads with nominal movement this application works pretty well when the attached item has a rounded attachment point. It reduces wear there, but that's going to be a low wear situation anyway. Where the tubing gets chewed up is when it comes between a carabiner and a sharper edge –say a rescue pulley. It probably helps some, but not for long. For your home brew use, just don't sample too much of your wares and go swinging from your tubing slung over a metal rafter.

If you are looking for a tubing that is 3/4 in IB and 1-in OD as described, this is not the tubing for you. It is undersized on the ID and oversized on the OD. Other than that it is silicone tubing so it can be used

Much better than stiff nylon hose. Easy to push onto my gear, much easier to move around. The old stiff nylon hose required a heat gun to remove or install. Silicone can be boiled to clean and sterilize, and should be more "food safe". I will have to verify the length as yet. I ordered another length of hose, the next size up(3/8), because some gear called for 3/8"; however this 5/16" silicone hose is flexible enough to work. I did not need to order the 3/8" but I will find a use for it.
