ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming II AMD AM4
This is a really good motherboard for the price with a lot of really amazing features that will surprise you from a motherboard in this price range. . AM4 socket: Ready for 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen processors . Robust power solution: 8+4 discrete MOS with high-quality alloy chokes and durable capacitors . Gaming-optimized connectivity: Dual M.2, USB 3.2 Gen 2, plus HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 output support . Smooth networking: M.2 socket with E-key and Intel Gigabit Ethernet with ASUS LANGuard . Intuitive software: Easy-to-use UEFI BIOS and ASUS AI Networking make it easy to configure gaming builds . DIY-friendly design: Includes pre-mounted I/O shield, BIOS FlashBack, Q-LEDs and SafeSlot . Unmatched personalization: ASUS-exclusive Aura Sync RGB lighting, including Aura RGB headers and . . . . .Addressable RGB header . Industry-leading gaming audio: AI Noise-Cancelling Microphone, SupremeFX S1220A codec, and Sonic Studio III for immersive sound. The motherboard has a nice weight to it and it has a full I/O shroud to save all the hassle of those flimsy I/O shields. It has a USB Bios flash button (Only flash the BIOS as a last resort as it generally is not worth the risk of bricking the motherboard) with an indicator light to shows completion and also an easy recovery option for failed or corrupted bios updates. It has well-placed heat sinks for excellent heat distribution and it not only has twin M.2 slots (one of which has its own heatsink) it also has an M.2 wireless card slot which is handy. With multiple RGB headers and case fan headers, this makes the board a really good board for the price. I will be adding my processor (AMD 5 3600) and ram (Corsair Vengeance 4 X 8GB) and (EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 SC ULTRA) to the board along with (at the moment ) one M.2 drive (500GB) and 0nce std SSD (240GB) but I will be upgrading them later. (when I can afford to). All in all, this is looking to be a great board but I will update this in a couple of months to advise how things have gone. This board is well worth the current asking price of £99 in my opinion.

ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II Review
Introduction After many generations of console gaming I wasn't impressed with PS5 or Xbox Series X. So I built a gaming PC, at first went with Gigabyte Aorus B550I Pro AX ITX board and what a mistake. Gigabyte motherboards are plagued with faults such as Ethernet, Bluetooth, USB, RGB Fusion etc. - AVOID Gigabyte B550I/X570 motherboards! Returned back for refund. I went with ASUS ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II. Packaging Nice and safely packaged along with accessories such as ASUS ROG stickers, manual, 4x SATA cable (2x in the form of L shape), M.2 screws and standoffs along with M.2 thermal pad. Build Quality & Design Motherboard feels premium and has the ASUS ROG signature in terms of design. I/O Ports There are a lot of ports on the back I/O. 1 x Intel® I211-AT 1Gb Ethernet 1 x PS/2 keyboard/mouse combo port(s) 1 x DisplayPort 1 x HDMI 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 USB Type-C® 2 x USB 2.0 1 x Optical S/PDIF out 5 x Audio jack(s) 1 x BIOS FlashBack™ Button(s) FlashBack Simply drop the (UEFI) BIOS file (from ASUS website) onto a FAT32 formatted USB stick, plug it into the USB BIOS Flashback port and press the Flashback button next to it. No CPU or RAM install is needed. Great for those using latest AMD Ryzen CPU. Performance So I have this motherboard setup with following components mentioned below. Been gaming for several hours and not a single problem unlike Gigabyte. AURA Sync works perfectly even with AMD Wraith Prism Cooler. ASUS ROG software are top notch. AMD Ryzen 3600 XT AMD Wraith Prism Cooler TeamGroup T-Force Delta RGB 16GB (2x 8GB) 3200MHz DDR4 RAM Gigabyte 3060 Ti Eagle OC WD 1TB NVMe SN550 Corsair TX650M 650W BIOS Is great and so many features to tweak. BIOS user interface is nice and clean. You can switch between Easy and Advanced modes. I didn't update BIOS. Out of the box it's been perfect. Price For the price this is a great board. Great quality motherboard especially the ASUS ROG series. Bluetooth/Wi-Fi This motherboard does not have built-in Bluetooth or Wi-Fi however there is a slot to install Bluetooth/Wi-Fi card on the motherboard - M.2 slot (Key E) (Support PCIe interface) Conclusion I would highly recommend this motherboard. Premium quality for the price! I paid £89.99. I will always recommend ASUS ROG over Gigabyte Aorus.

Great motherboard for 5600X, disappointing website
I bought this specific version 2 motherboard as I knew the 5600X CPU I wanted to install would require a BIOS update. However despite repeatedly trying to flash the BIOS via several USBs and almost pulling my hair out, it wouldn't flash. The issue was that Asus's website doesn't give you a link to the V2 BIOS page, only providing a link to the V1 BIOS, which won't work when trying to flash the board. I was ready to RMA this drive before realising this might be the issue and finding the V2 BIOS via a google link. After flashing the BIOS, the board has been fantastic and offers excellent value for money for a board compataible with a 5600X CPU. It does everything I would want it to do and has great features, including USB 3.0 headers for my case. I would highly recommend it. Knocking off one star due to the BIOS issues.

Had This For A While
A very good mobo. You can see when I bought it. I had a 3600 in this to start with and just upgraded to a R7 5800x couple of weeks ago. Works perfectly with the new BIOS. It is PCIE 3.0 if that matters. From watching various 3.0 vs 4.0 it seems as though the gains are like 1-2 fps. Never had a problem with it. If I did it was user error. A monster of a gaming board at a bargain price!
Standard Atx size Motherboard. Great value for money - under £100 at time of purchase. Ideal for gaming - will take Ryzen 3,5,7 and 9 (i opted for Ryzen5 3600 - also on amazon for £180) Will take upto a massive 128Gb of ddr4 RAM upto 4400mhz (overclocked) and has 2x dedicated onboard nvme drive slots (drives sold seperateley) - far faster than ssd. Mated with a premium gfx card(s) this will be a monster and also futureproof knowing i can upgrade my 64gb ddr4 3200 and my processor at a later date as the prices decline with new tech coming out. I Did the same with my last 2 Asus boards which both lasted 10yrs and hope to do the same with this. Note - this is the Gaming II (2) board Which is faster/better than the standard Asus Rog Strix B450F Gaming board but about the same price (at the time the Gaming II was marginally cheaper) Buy one - you wont be disappointed.

A Pro level motherboard for budget price
After a month of research & analysis, I decided to purchase this motherboard, I have to play within my budget to get the best possible price vs performance ratio for PC parts, When I start purchasing my parts I set my budget for motherboard up to £65 but after lost research I found that as a motherboard is the main base of PC and has to be robust and long-lasting and reliable to put all my parts in the symphony, I was about to buy the previous version of this Asus motherboard which was the exact same price, So most recent version of the gaming motherboard which is marked as "Gaming II" for the same price is really a bargain, When I open the motherboard I was really surprised and happy to see the tons of connectors, ports, slots, supplied cables, other small accessory and built quality, to be honest the half of the ports and slot are not utilised at the moment but as it's given which make this motherboard very future proof and limitless for expansion, I can now move my extra ethernet card, soud card, M.2 PCI express card taken out from my old laptop which is Wifi & Bluetooth combined to make it work with M.2 slot given in this motherboard, also I have few collection of old HDD & SSDs starting few years ago from 20 GB up to 500 GB purchased earlier, I haven't seen any other motherboard brand or model in this price range giving such a huge amount of features, I am also looking to purchase TPM module which this motherboard has provision for which securely store your my keys and password. I will monitor performance & thermals and update this review to give more information and feature I found :-)

ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II
I found this to be an excellent quality motherboard with excellent scope for tweaking and overclocking hardware. The single most aspect I would point out however, is that if you install a M.2 SSD, of which there are 2 slots, one with a snazzy heatsink shield and another without, is that I found using the heatsinked slot in conjunction with a high end GPU is that the GPU with only run at x8 as apposed to using the other slot and getting the full x16 speed from your GPU to CPU. There may be an option within the bios to counter this, I have just not come across or figured this out at the time of writing this. I would still strongly recommend this board.
