Be creative and joyful!
I took this on a weekend getaway and it was the highlight of my trip. I brought watercolors, rubber cement, scissors and picked up some pretty travel brochures at the tourist spots. Then let my creativity rip. I giggled, and created and my inner child swooned with joy. I was so blessed to find this for pennies at a garage sale, untouched and new. Perhaps it had been a gift from someone and never taken the time for. IF YOU GET IT, do yourself and your inner child a favor, USE IT! I've already gifted two people a copy as I hope they'll have as much fun as I have in playing with this perfect adult "toy."

Fun, entertaining and imaginative
Bought one for my older daughter who likes to read and she couldn't wreck it 😂 she refused to, in came my youngest daughter and was so excited to wreck it. She asked me to buy her one. She's very active and doesn't like to read or write at all. Yes please! There's some small things I would change but if it gets her to do something.. it's a win.

9 year old daughter LOVED IT!
I am writing this from two points of view....mine and my 9 year old daughter. In my point of view this is a nasty book and I wouldn’t have bought it without being begged and her offering to use her own money. The title says it all…Wreck This Journal. You literally do. You end up with a book that is thick with dirt and holes, drawing and scratches, and yes…spit. As a mom, this seemed ridiculas to me, and I consider myself a fun mom. HOWEVER…..My 9 year old daughter wanted this so badly, and I got the duct tape cover edition because she is into duck tape projects. She got this at about 11am in the morning and completed the whole thing by dinner. I was shocked! However, she was so proud of it and did all of the stuff that I had to look at each page. Had I known that she was planning on doing the whole thing in one sitting I would have told her to wait and pace herself. But it was her money, her book and her time. About two weeks later, she asked if she could have another one but a different color. She said she wanted to take her time and do it better. (Other than the drawings, I’m not sure how that is possible).I told her to save her allowance and show me that she really wants another one, she did and she has it in her room about ½ done. I think she forgot about it because she hasn’t touched it in a while, but when her friends come over, she gives them a page or two to do.

My (almost) 14-year-old niece is thrilled.
I was having difficulty deciding what to get our almost 14-year-old niece for her birthday. After reading the reviews and checking out the "Look Inside" features, I decided to get this book and also "This is Not a Book", also by Keri. Our niece is on the mature side for her age, but I realized I would have loved this when I was in school. The reaction was great! She instantly started filling in both books. Both books are similar, but different. She hardly put the book down for the rest of the night, as far as we could tell. We were at her house for several hours after she opened her gifts and she was busy with a pen almost the entire time. Very happy with my purchase. I can't give a specific review on either book as I can't remember which activities were in which book, but she was laughing and enjoying them all. At one time, there was a very loud thud on the floor. We all jumped. It was just my niece throwing her book across the room and laughing. I guess one of the books told her to do so. It was so funny once we realized what had happened. Edit: Oh, I guess this sounds weird... My almost 14-year-old niece for her BIRTHDAY. Her birthday is on Christmas Eve, but they leave town every year. So we celebrated early.
