Neurio Home Electricity Monitor Solar Expansion Kit

Worked perfectly and install was easy. I's amazing the info I get from Neurio on what my panels are doing and how much of that energy I'm using compared to storing into my account with untility.

No customer service phone. Wasted 17 hours installing. Called an electrician who informed me that I needed 7 donuts and my unit only supports 3 donuts.

Love the product. Only thing that has me worried is I don't see any new activity on the company's website and the product is sold out. No product news updates or anything. Social media is important to spreading the word about the product but its non existent. Also, it's $70 if you want to upgrade to the Intelligent Home Monitoring which lets you add appliances for tracking. I still don't know how to make that purchase as it can't be done from within the app. This should be easy if they want to make money

Connect the blue wire to a Phase B circuit. Tell Neurio via the sensor page what you have. Done. Watch your solar generation!Safety, always - turn solar inverter off outside and turn mains OFF before working, remember the mains are still live upstream of the main breaker.

I had my inverter from SolarEdge and it's been providing me some accurate but not as timely information. The interval was every 15 minutes and its API has a limit of 300 calls per diem, which is less than 5 minutes per call. Worse yet, SolarEdge did not tell you how much energy you consume unless you install another $500 module. (At least my solar company said so)Neurio's Solar Module helped to fill the void. I had been using its monitoring module for electricity usage; adding this module is really just an icing on the cake. Now I know exactly what's going on, and my wife can really appreciate the reason behind solar panels, so much she even asked for an add-on for this summer!

Added to my Neurio does what it says give you the capacity to monitor your solar system. This same kit could be used if you don't have solar to monitor a second panel or load if needed.

We ended up not needing the expansion kit but the Neurio works as promised. I'm using it so my duplex renters each know what they're using and being fairly charged for utility bills.

When you add solar generation, you have to use the blue wire. It comes with a splicer if needed. Make sure the leaves are pointing away from the breaker. I love this device, makes my house a bit smarter.
