First impressions say, "Nice vest"
The pictures for this vest are deceiving. It looks thinner and lighter than it is in real life. I just got it today and tried it on over a t-shirt and then the two different jackets I plan to wear it with through our fast-approaching Wisconsin/Minnesota winter. It fits great and the construction seems top notch. It has the four pockets on the front outside, and also two inside pockets that aren't mentioned, one of which has a zipper closure. I'm 6 feet and 240 pounds right now with a lot of it in the shoulders and chest, and of course also some in the midsection. My chest measures about 53-54 inches, which according to the size chart says I should have ordered a 3XL, but I listened to other reviews that said this item mostly runs a bit large and found that to be true. I got the 2XL and like I said, it fits me well over a t-shirt alone, t-shirt and a thin zip hoodie, and t-shirt and a thicker insulated zip hoodie. I was originally looking for a sherpa-lined vest, but thought more about it and went with this quilt-lined vest. The lining doesn't bind against whatever you have under it and makes movement easier because the lining is slippery compared to sherpa. Overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase. It does run a bit large, as other reviews have stated, and the 2XL works great for me at 6' and 240 lbs, even with layering. Good construction, soft-but-durable canvas fabric that's comfortable, and the insulation is more than it appears in the pictures, but not bulky. Good pockets, and comfortable to wear. It will serve me well at work this winter and well beyond. I'm thinking I'll probably get a few winters out of this vest, wearing it most of the time I'm on the clock.

Very nice quality vest.
This is a VERY nice product. One of the first things I do after purchasing a garment such as this is to check the quality of the stitching and zippers. In this case both were very well done. The stitching is clean and uniform with no bunching or unsightly thread clusters. The cross stitching on the lining should help hold the insulation in place even after after multiple washings. The zipper is a bit stiff but pretty much what you would expect from quality metalic hardware. I particularly like the feel of the stonewashed material on this product. My brother has a Carhartt vest. It's very nice as well but quite frankly as stiff as a board. The warm and comfortable knit collar on this product is also a welcome addition. I like a loose, generous fit in my outerwear. Especially in a garment like this that, depending on the temperature, can give you multiple layering options. I haven't had a chance to be out in extreme temperatures with it yet. But I can tell you I was relatively comfortable shoveling my deck in the mid twenties with only a thirteen ounce sweat shirt as a singe under layer. This is were a vest really shines. It gives you a good range of arm motion while helping to maintain your core temperature. I also like that this product has a variety of useful pockets. The main slash pockets on the outside are full and deep with snap closures to protect your valuables. (The snaps are easy to locate even in low light situations since they are positioned within the decorative flap sewn on the edge of the pocket). There are a couple of breast pockets that are quite useful as well. I'm not sure about the usefulness of some of the inside pockets yet but it's always nice to have other options available as needed. Especially if you need to protect perishables in inclement weather. I haven't hunted in more than thirty years but I have always loved a good camo pattern. I think we have all seen some of the junk out there that looks like it was mapped out by a five year old with a handful of crayons. Happily the pattern on this garment is EXCEPTIONALLY nice. In case you haven't guessed, there is really nothing I don't like about this product. I highly recommend it.

Best vest I ever bought (worth every penny)
This vest is very comfortable and warm. The cotton exterior with the quilted interior is well made. The color is exactly as seen in the picture even after you wash it the first time. It runs a tad large in size, but I assume that's so you can layer. I normally wear XL tshirts, and got this in XL tall to compliment my typical sizing. It's a little roomy so there is space if you want to wear a hoodie underneath this. So happy with this vest, I'd buy it again if I ever need another!

Very good quality and comfortable
I’m 💯 satisfied. I’ve own several Carr-Hartt, Deluth, Big Smith etc. This has a Heavy duty zipper, chest pockets. Hand pockets have a snap closure. Left and right inside pockets. Outside cotton Duck is slightly softer than Carr-Hartt. I feel a Carr-Hartt might be a little more durable but this is a quality vest that looks and feels good to wear. I’d buy again.

Looks to be a keeper
Just got this. I wanted something warm for the Colorado winters, but something that wasn't restrictive like some. I previously bought a similar vest, but it was "canvas", and therefor stiff and uncomfortable to drive while wearing. I sent it back. I drive a convertible all year long, with the top down regardless of ambient temps. This vest is heavy. In both material and weight. Heavy cloth material, but softer than expected and quite flexible, nice quilted lining, seemingly excellent, heavy zipper, snap hand pockets, which is nice. I hate velcro. I am anticipating it to be quite comfortable to wear while driving. I am 5'11" and 235. I am 78 so I have that "pear with toothpick" shape, and I wanted something that came down and covered my OWB holster for my CCW. This works nicely, as I bought a XXL Tall. Arm holes may be larger than styles dictate but will be great for driving. Color is true to ad. I anticipate it being just what I wanted. Give me a couple months and I'll either adjust the review up or down.
