Very effective
Really good 1 way film. Makes your window reflect back so you cannot see through in daylight. Saves having to have net curtains up.

Not too bad.
It is a bit fiddly to fit and cut to size. You`ll need a sharp blade to trim down later, use plenty of soapy water in a spray bottle and you can`t go wrong. Small windows, which we used it for were not too bad to fit, gave our kids more privacy from outside, plus the sun isn`t as strong, won`t know til summer if it actually keeps the rooms cooler either. Before starting this i measured the windows and work how much needed, and cut roughly to size, it`s better to trim afterwards then finding out after it`s too small for the window size. Worth it though, it makes it harder to see inside form outside although you can sort of see things from outside if it`s right at the window, other than that it does give you more privacy especially if you have blinds.

Excellent window privacy film
Bought two rolls of the mirror one way privacy tint , so far very impressed with the results. Was bought to keep nosy neighbours from looking through our lower level windows. On a night time complement with either blackout curtains or blinds for that total no intrusion look as the privacy film once nighttime and light behind it does come a tinted translucent depending on what version of mirror tint you have gone for. Installation is fairly straight forward. Just make sure you have plenty of water in a spray bottle, window squeegee to hand , either craft knife or scissors to trim where necessary, spray lots of water on the window, on the window tint before installing. You may get some creases on the outside of the mirror tint when installing as quite fragile once you take the the protective film off. Most of the creases come out once smoothed over. In my own experience with this product, I think the pros out way the cons and some negative reviews on here . During the day we no longer have to have our blinds closed, get lots of light into the room, has made the room a little cooler. If dark or an evening , we want total privacy once a light is on we just close the blinds , totally shuts the outside world out.

About as Private as a Glass House at a Nudist Colony
This window film promised privacy. What it delivered was a shiny, expensive lie. Once applied, you can still see right through it. Congratulations, I’ve now paid good money to highlight exactly where to look in. It’s basically cling film in cosplay—useless, wrinkly, and absolutely not what was advertised. The images on the listing must have been taken on a foggy day with a filter and a prayer, because in real life? It's clearer than my ex’s lies. Don't waste your money unless you fancy doing a show for the street. Total fail. Wish I could rate it zero.

What a pain
I was quite excited about this produce as I live in an apartment with French doors that allow the sun into the living room all afternoon and evening, making the room unbearably hot during the summer. With that in mind I bought this. In short, putting the film on the window is quite straight-forward: remove backing, wet the film, wet the window, apply, smooth, and cut to size. The trouble is, however, that the stuff peels away from the window after about 24 hours. Came home yesterday to find that the film on one of the windows had peeled halfway down to the floor. It's now stuck back with cellotape around the edges, which is far from ideal. In relation to the 'smoothness' of the finish, don't expect it to be completely flat. I cleaned the window as thoroughly as I could, but tiny specks of dirt on either the window or the film meant that I have dozens of tiny - but very visible - bumps on the finish. It has the appearance of slightly textured glass when looking out through the window. So, how does it work? Well, when it's actually attached to the window, it makes a huge difference to amount of light coming in through the room. I placed my hand in the shaft of light coming through, and it was actually cool. 'That's weird', I thought. Then I touched the film itself and found that it was very warm to the touch. I guess that's the UVA filtering, meaning that infrared light is trapped/repelled. I guess that means that it 'does the job', but time will tell as we move toward summer (it's mid-May now) In all all, three stars - three for its efficacy, and zero for it actually staying put!

Good for privacy, effective for price.
Bought the film for a north-facing bedroom window. The lower panes in the window are low enough for houses opposite to see in. We have had to keep the curtains closed when getting changed etc. The end result is a room in darkness. This film allows keeping the curtains open during the day, as it pretty much stops any view in, as long as it is brighter outside than in. It's not an issue at night, as you'd close the curtains anyway. The first pane I did, I left a spec of dust, so I can still see it. I used a squegee on the 2nd window, before spraying more soapy water on both the window, and the film. Squeezed out excess bubbles, using a credit card wrapped in a micro-fibre cloth. Even so there seemed to be a bit of a bubbly finish when I was done. However, a couple of days later the end result is pretty flat. It's not 'optical quality', but it's good enough that we can't be bothered to order some sealed units with mirroring built-in. For the money. It's good. I see that some reviewers have had issues with the film falling off. I don't know if it makes a difference, but we did use a bit of washing up soap in our water (ecover)... about the same concentration as used for washing up. Also, we did push out the bubbles with the card.... maybe that also pushes out the water, when there are no bubbles. Equally, it could be variation in product quality. At any rate it's still attached well one week later, and that's even with a bit of condensation on the windows, as you'll sometimes get in the morning.
