Almost identical to dal I had in India
I've been buying these for a while now and on a recent trip to India, I made a point of trying Dal Makhani a few times (in Delhi and Chandigarh) as it's one of the few indian foods that is the same in India as it is here and this microwavable pouch is almost identical to the dal I had in India. Very nice, filling and with a subtle taste, very nice. I'd recommend trying other food from this manufacturer, they obviously know what they are making.

Every store cupboard needs someone
The best store bought dal I have found. Takes minutes to cook and has quite a long shelf life. Perfect to keep in your store cupboard for an emergency meal.
