Do the handle holes let steam escape while cooking?

No, I have not had a issue with that.

Where is the product made from?

Pretty sure it’s made in China. Best one I have used....handles make it very safe with no worries about steaming hands.

Can you cook grains in this steamer?

Yes, you can steam grains perfectly! Just make sure to lay down a paper liner first (this set comes with a pack of them).

Are there any sad products I need for this?

I don’t know what “sad” products are. But as far as extra products the only thing you need is a high edge tapered pan like a wok to hold about 2 to 3 inches of water. Mine will steam almost 2 hours on low. Works great for parties, keeps meat and seafood hot and moist ready to serve.
