Bondo Fiberglass Resin Repair Kit, 00420, 0.45 Pint

I used the Bondo Fiberglass Resin Repair Kit (00420, 0.45 Pint) to repair a crack in my kayak hull, and I’m seriously impressed. I had never worked with fiberglass before, but this kit made it super manageable for a first-timer. The instructions were clear, and everything I needed was right in the box — resin, hardener, fiberglass cloth, and a mixing tray. The resin mixed well and spread smoothly, giving me plenty of working time. It hardened exactly as expected and left a solid, watertight seal after curing. After a light sanding and some paint, the repair was barely noticeable. It’s held up great through a couple of trips on the lake so far. Highly recommend this for small to medium fiberglass repairs — whether you're patching up boats, car panels, or even outdoor equipment. Just make sure you have gloves and work in a well-ventilated area, as the smell is pretty strong. Definitely a product I’d buy again.

This used to be so much cheaper... It does work very well and is easy enough to sand.

I had my vinyl fence crack at the latch. Used spray foam to fill the space and then layers this fiberglass resin. Can you tell we fixed the latch? Yes, but now it's rock solid and I don't have to worry about it cracking again. You will need to take the gate off and let it sit for a few days. Should you need to use it for that.

It's bondo, what else you need to know. 2 part mix, all utensils included. Quick and easy, dries fast, sands off fairly well. Dries hard and durable. I used it to reform and build a motorcycle rear fender. Stronger then it was to begin with. Will definitely use again.ake sure to have extra gloves. 1 set included but is fairly sticky so they don't go far. Worth the money but you can't rush the process, respect the process and take your time. It WILL pay off.

To clarify, the amount of fiberglass cloth included is 3 sq ft ... not 8 sq ft as the product pictures suggest. I've attached a picture of the side of the box that lists the contents of the kit. Otherwise, it's a nice and economical kit for small fiberglass repairs. Worked very well for me.

Product is useful for large patches. I like that it dries quickly. I'm not satisfied with the amount of hardener that it comes with. You are guaranteed to run out of hardener and still have resin and cloth left over.

Got the job done, directions were clear and worked how I expected. Had some minor repairs and filling needed.

Good product. Used to fix fender ( plastic of my electric scooter ). Works as it should. Followed instructions on the box on the dot. Noticed it took longer to dried up. Didn’t put a lot of drops ( Hardener ) hence took longer to harden ( overnight ).

Love it, used it to repair a few cutouts on my boat that no longer matched with a new dash install. Only use in small doses as it dries really quickly.
