Taste
Very very distinctive taste. Doesn’t taste like what it’s suppose to be but I love mochi!

Bland, almost flavorless and unsavory texture.
Was hopeful when purchasing these. I like Asian snacks, but splurge rarely and I wanted to treat myself with something. When I received them, they were crushed, and the filling was leaking out of them. Opening the packages was a sticky mess.As others have mentioned, there is almost no flavor, but the mango is probably most distinct of the 3, but barely noticeable. Calling the flavors delicate is a gross overstatement. The texture of the mochi itself is not what you expect, more of a grainy, gelatinous texture rather than chewy or spongy. It was basically unappetizing. It would have been more appetizing eating plain konjak jelly. After a few of each, they went straight into the trash. Waste of money, don't recommend.

Whelp... That was dumb.
So listen, I read the reviews, and I thought to myself "self, there is no way that Mochi can possibly be THAT bland". I then, ordered. First, I will say this. These arrived prompty, and well packed. They were soft, the package was not bloated, indicating that they had possibly gone bad, and they were exactly as pictured. So, I think I figured out why these are so terrible. And yes, they are terrible, they lack almost any flavor at all. There is a very small hint of something "sweet" once you arrive at the center, but I couldn't tell the difference between the Strawberry, Mango, and Grape. Anyhow, these are NOT a product of Japan. These are made in China. So, take that for what it is, do yourself a favor, and just don't bother. I get it, anything you buy on here is going to be something mass produced. But, even the worst mass produced Mochi from Japan is edible. This stuff is on par with a softened piece of chewing gum plucked from the underside of a vintage 1977 school desk.

Get these if you love mochi but not a bean paste filling
For the most part I really enjoyed these,I got the variety of strawberry, grape, and mango. The texture is different, more marshmallow like with a jelly inside instead of bean paste. The grape flavor was my favorite because it's so unique. What I didn't care for was that some of the filling had leaked out on most of them and they all had a hard bit on them on the spot from where the jelly was inserted. I probably won't buy these again because of the price and the hard spot, it ruins the texture. I do think that these are worth a try, especially if you get them on sale.

My review
They were absolutely disgusting. There was no flavor. They had this weird texture. They looked amazing in the picture but they tasted like rubber bands. I paid too much money just to buy these because I wanted to try them because they look good but no they were disgusting. I wanted to puke after trying one, and then I tried another flavor and it taste the same thing and then I tried the other flavor and it also tasted like the same thing. don’t recommend.

First time trying mochi?
I love eastern flavors. Deserts aren't too sweet, entrees have that salty sweet meaty spicy. I've wanted to try mochi for a long time and I finally ordered some to discover its marshmallows that are made from rice... I hate marshmallows and now I have two packages of mochi (the one I tried went to waste) that nobody wants it and I can't stand to waste food.Maybe mochi s'mores? Mochi in coco? I'll figure something out so it isn't wasted. So now I know.... Mochi has the texture of american marshmallows. Its a good alternative for the marshmallow enthusiast who can't have corn syrup. These aren't as sweet and I think the sweetness comes from the rice. These were good for what they were, they had that creamy filling which would have been wonderful... if I liked marshmallow texture..... I hope this helps
