will it reduce wind noise ?

It reduces wind noise almost completely. I start hearing wind noise while driving over 70mph.

This is very thin and easily pressed flat. It might work for a stationary window that fits well, if you only need a gasket-type product with a little padding between the window and the camper. I purchased it for a leaky camper shell rear window/door that is opened and closed several times daily. This product is too flimsy for that and would not prevent rain from seeping through to the inside. It would probably work on a stationary, tight-fitting window.

Is this seale strip like foam rubber or is it harder then that?

Yes foam rubber type seal but not too soft it has to compress to form a good seal.

Does this work good for RV side compartment doors or is it not big enough?

Yes it could be use for that . I use to reseal the doors on my walking trailer , worked great ! Just make sure you clean the surface re good and dry .
