15max, Just what you would expect from IR
Other reviews seemed confusing or contradicting so I'll lay out the facts and what I observed with this gun (the 3/8 drive 15 max). First off yes, unfortunately the gun is made in China unlike most IR products, but the quality, construction and feel of the gun is comparable to my other USA made IR tools. The gun I received does not leak whatsoever, so if yours does just send it back to amazon and get a new one; it's defective.. For my test I use a 3/8" x 50' rubber airline with no leaks, and 1/4" NPT V-type air fittings. 3hp 30 gal compressor running 100 psi in the line. Oiled the gun with standard air tool oil as soon as I took it out of the box. I used a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts on my truck to see what the limit of breakaway torque this gun will make. The lug nuts are 9/16" -18 clean, rust free, dry threads and 3/4" hex nuts. Using a deep impact 3/8" drive 3/4" socket and no extension I found that the limit of this gun is between 154 and 158 ft lbs of breakaway torque on that specific size of lug nut. I tried multiple times and multiple nuts, and it consistently would not loosen bolts torqued to 160 lb ft and would always loosen torqued to 150 lb ft. 155 lb ft is 50/50. When tightening the lugs until the gun completely stopped turning the nuts came out to between 120-130 ft lbs tight. You might think that's not even close to the advertised torque, but the manufacturer torque ratings are always some made up number in a specific test to make the gun perform as best as possible, with no real standard. Either way, that's more than enough torque for most real world applications like brake, suspension and under the hood work. This should not be your main gun by any means, but it is a specialty tool for tight spaces and does exceptionally well at that. It's also very cheap for an IR tool... Only ~$30 more than the harbor freight earthquake? Maybe I'm biased to the brand, but it seems like a no brainier to me. Earthquake might last 10 years, IR will outlive you.

Thing thing is amazing, so quite almost makes you think it won't work
This thing compliments the IR 1/2" impact so well. Love my 1/2" figured after 16 years of wrenching it was time for me to finally get a 3/8 impact and I'm glad I went with Ingersoll. Coworkers all have snapon and matco. I didn't feel like a 3/8 was worth the 400-600. This lil guy is as powerful as both snap on and matco but 80% quieter even my coworkers want one and when I told them it was only 150 they didn't believe me. Plus this thing is almost too quite. My electric impact is louder. Definitely worth every penny for a great known brand

MAXINE
Fantastic tool, people worried about the gun's power are using underpowered or low capacity air compressors.Bought this for work in a full service automotive garage / tire shop.I am constantly zapping wheels on and off of cars. Tired of using the old school Ingersoll Rand 231, a 9 lb impact gun, I decided to purchase this little thing.I had reservations about its power, the moment it showed up I realized there was nothing to worry about. It's definitely a step below the legendary IR 21X5 series in terms of power, but more than makes up for it with the utlity of having such a tiny impact gun.I would highly recommend this gun to anyone looking for a lighter, smaller, reliable impact gun.Fair warning though, this thing is LOUD compared to other impacts.

Not as powerful as the big boys, but I ...
Not as powerful as the big boys, but I just leave my big impact in my tool box and use this 99% of the time. It is soooooo light. Need to get some light weight sockets to go with itUpdate: 02/09/2020I used this everyday as my main impact. My titanium QT 1/2 diead over a year ago and this has been my only impact at work. only once in the last year have I had to borrow a bigger impact. With a 80 ft lb torque stick it only tightened to about 74 ft lbs, but with no torque stick it tightens to 132 ft lbs (checked by reverse torque wrench) witch is not ideal, but has been working. The shaft that comes out of the impact is a little shorter then a larger impact so the sockets do not stay on as well.I have twice had to pull it apart because the hammers bound up and it quit hammering, but I just charged there direction and it worked fine after that. (takes 5 minutes, 4 T15 bolts and it is apart). There is NO seal were the shaft comes out of the end of the impact. So every time you grease it (if you do) the air will push the grease out all over you socket making the shorter end issue even worse. After 3 years of heavy use (dealer technican) one of the veins broke. It let loose and jammed sideways and broke another 3 veins. Rebuild kit cost 40-80 dollars and I need this tool for work (my titianuim qt is still broken). So, after 3 years and a failure. I could have ordered anything. I ordered another one of these. Even with it's issues, it does 99.9% of all the things I need a 1/2 inch impact to do. It is super light weight and amazing. I will probably order a rebuild kit and use my old one at home.

Light weight
Love how light weight and quiet it is. Power is lacking. No power. Good for small stuff
