I was really impressed upon receiving these. I noticed I had an extra plastic cover and thought there must be a mistake but continued to unwrap the shakers and set the cover aside as I did so. I loved the size and weight of the shakers and thought they were a great upgrade from my mother's old shakers I'd been using for years. The quality is so much better than I had expected. The hole openings make these very versatile for use with many more spices than just salt and pepper. They hold the perfect amount of spice and function quite well as a salt shaker as well. They shine beautifully and the fact they come with a cover to keep moisture out is a great benefit and bonus. These are quality shakers that I believe will last a long time. One of the lids had a small cut that didn't go all the way through the plastic but was enough that I guess the company thought they should include an extra plastic lid. I really admire that. I will continue to purchase Herb Shakers and other products from this company. They have gained my trust for sure!

Functions very well and high quality at a good price

They work well, but for things that won’t go rancid. Like herbs, salt or powdered sugar. Wouldn’t use for grated Parmesan, aglio oglio, pepper flakes or anything else with oils in it. I had homemade garlic salt go rancid in it after 1 month. The glass storage jar with the rest of the salt is still fresh. So clearly the metal oxidized the garlic salt. Probably has something to do with the quality of the stainless steel. But No issues with corrosion like others have mentioned. They look great, and work well, and are easy to use otherwise. Lid stays on if properly screwed on.

I’m surprising that these flour/spice shakers are so durable. I had one back in the day that my mom used handed down amd it was made of aluminum. It tarnshed, scratched and dented with just minimal use. These and my mom’s shakers collectively served their purposes but this sleek stainless steel one is going to last more than forever. The metal is an heavier gauge, less likely to tip over and the “medium” holes anre perfect for seasoned flour or cornstarch. One metered firm shake and you have it. Dispenses equally every time And twofers? The price is right. SO RIGHT!

Sleek looking shakers. Lower grade stainless steel allows these to be less expensive but they are still made well for their grade. Make sure you DO NOT store salt-heavy seasonings in these or other 304 grade stainless as the grade of steel is much more easily pitted and corroded by these seasonings. Perfect shaker for cinnamon sugar and most peppers and non-corrosive dry seasonings of a FINE texture/grind. Fine sugars (holes not big enough for raw/coarse types) should be used quickly as they have almost zero moisture prevention ability even with the plastic caps. If you’re looking to use shakers for coarse spices/sugars OR any sort of salt heavy (or other corrosive) spice mixes, I strongly recommend getting 316 grade or duplex stainless steel with larger shaker top holes. Currently using mine for cinnamon sugar and smoked paprika and they work great.
