“A Must-Have Tool for Electronics Parts Troubleshooting”
I recently added the Klein Tools IR1 Infrared Thermometer to my toolkit for managing electronics parts, and it’s been an absolute gem. This non-contact temperature gun is perfect for anyone working with circuits, components, or small-scale builds who needs quick, accurate heat readings.Quality and Build: This thermometer feels like a pro-grade tool right out of the box. The rugged plastic housing is tough and ergonomic, with a solid grip that’s comfy for extended use. The display is bright and easy to read, and the buttons are responsive without feeling cheap. It’s compact enough to stash with my electronics parts, and the 10:1 distance-to-spot ratio gives me flexibility without sacrificing precision.Performance: I use this to check temps on electronics parts—think resistors, capacitors, and ICs during testing—and it’s spot-on. Pointing it at a circuit board, I can instantly spot overheating components without probing or risking damage. The -4°F to 752°F range covers everything I need for small projects, and the readings are fast and consistent. It’s saved me from frying parts by catching heat issues early, making it a lifesaver for diagnostics.Value for Money: For the price, this is a steal. It’s way more affordable than some high-end infrared thermometers, yet it delivers reliable performance for electronics work. If you’re a hobbyist or pro dealing with parts that heat up, this tool offers serious bang for your buck—far better than guessing or using clunky alternatives.Minor Notes: The laser pointer can be a bit finicky to aim on tiny components—practice helps. It’s battery-powered (9V included), so keep a spare handy for long sessions. It’s not a full multimeter replacement, but for non-contact temp checks on electronics, it’s exactly what I need.Overall: The Klein Tools IR1 Infrared Thermometer is a fantastic addition to my electronics parts toolkit. It’s accurate, durable, and makes thermal troubleshooting a breeze. I’d recommend it to anyone working with circuits or components—5 stars for practicality and value!

WHAT FUN!
A useful and fun tool for my husband! He aims this little guy at the wall, the window, the fireplace stone masonry and can determine the temperature of each. He can compare it to our wall and refrig/freezer thermometers to see if they are accurate. We have spent the summer trying to use as little cooling via electricity as possible and this tools has been great in telling us where we're REALLY cooling down an area and where there are still hotspots.Sturdy and easy to use.

This works well, includes a case, and won't break the bank!
Works very well, is more accurate than an older one I have from probably 15 years ago, and comes with a case to keep it in. I do trust Klein tools, have used many of them over the years. This is decent and won't break the bank.

Accurate temp. Of any type of source
Klien tools are one of the most respected tool manufactors in the public utility industry. I use this tool to measure the temp. of air coming out of a/c and heating ducts to trouble shoot my hvac. There are alot of uses for this device for measuring a temp without having to get to close to the source. It just works.

Love Klein tools but not sure if the most accurate
My child was sick recently with a fever and thought to use this in a pinch. It did get a temp reading but think it was off a few degrees. We ordered one with many high reviews which is meant to accurately measure forehead temps and in comparison the Klein was reading on the lower end. It works well for within 95% accuracy but for accurate temps for fevers go with different option. Again I know this isn’t for humans or precise measurements but figured a Klein product would be right on the money. On a side note it does work well for monitoring bath temps and jacuzzi temps! For the mechanics it gives solid readouts on wheel bearing temps, brake temps, etc for simple diagnosis

Great for a variety of uses indoor and outdoor
I've had this Klein digital thermometer for 2 1/2 years and have been very satisfied with it. Now I wouldn't use it expecting it to be exact to the degree. While I believe it is pretty accurate, it's not intended for that level if precision. It is very good for telling temperature differences from one point to another. And I use it regularly for my fire pit and cooking over the fire or charcoal grill. For that it is excellent!

Great product
My husband bought this to check the insulation in the walls. We noticed our son’s room was always hotter than the rest of the rooms and were able to notice a 4 degree difference. It was easy to use. Function was great.
